The hotel atmosphere, personal and value are reasonable for a mega-police like Moscow. Location and facilities near by helps you to get what ever you need. Comfortable rooms, and very nice view. Room service is very good.

Practical hotel, not the best and it is about 30 minutes to city centre or so, but it is not to expensive with an acceptable buffet breakfast. In my opinion, the hotel needs a deep refurbishing, but the room is big and good views to the University, one of the most beautiful buildings within Moscow.

What's to say? The Hotel Universitetskaya is a former Moscow State University guesthouse that is now run by the Orthodox Church and used mainly to house pilgrimage groups, with the odd visiting professor staying there as well. So it is what you would expect. It is warm and clean, with no mold, no insects, and basically no problems. But no...

I stayed at this hotel one week in August 1986. I was at this hotel a long time ago with my parents during our Moscow tour. At that time, it was still the Soviet Union ... I remember that the hotel was good, no complaints at that time was not. I remember that in the hotel building was a store...

A very old, dated hotel with very poor conditions. The room smelled, it was not heated properly, not too clean and the staff barely understood English - which made breakfast or any requests challenging. The breakfast was poor - and the Jesus statue in the breakfast area was creepy. A communist, dated hotel without some basic amenities.

I was shocked when I lived there. Small, student dormitory type room with very little amenities. Bathroom is dirty, bathtub has black moss in the corners. Smell of rot everywhere. Extremely expensive for this kind of horrible service. Portraits of Russian orthodox officials everywhere and icons in the room, i.e. no respect to other religions. My room did not have...

I spent 5 nights in Moscow in the period I was attending a conference near the Lemonosov Moscow State University. I had booked all nights in the Universitetskaya Hotel, one of the nearby hotels indicated by the conference organizers. However, I ended up spending one night in the Universitetskaya Hotel and the remaining 4 nights in the Korston Hotel, another...

This was an interesting hotel/youth hostel. My floor, 9th was the business hotel area I think, my room was clean and comfortable, TV and Internet both good, comfy bed and good shower. Everyday more bits of furniture would turn up in my room. Warm, as was minus 8 outside, views of the surrounding town and buildings. Not close to a...

First room had bath that looked trashed with a sledgehammer. Second almost OK. Third - my arranged "lease expensive room" was forgotten, and I was given the most expensive room - expensive for a pointless anteroom and a toilet that STANK. One night I arrived after some 35 hours of flying and traffic - only to be made to wait...

I got to my hotel - this wonderful hotel, and the first thing I was told was that I had not paid my deposit, even though I had. The unfriendly lady at the counter who didn't speak a word of English was positive that I was not supposed to be there. The bathrooms and rooms were not very nice, fittings...
