Two families stayed at the beginning of October for two nights with some business in the city. Starting from reception and including restaurant and room personnel we received an excellent professional service. The accommodation was impeccable, clean and provided a nice hommy feeling. The food was amazing, bringing up childhood memories of meals cooked by grandma. The traditional Transylvanian cuisine on the menu is so extensive that you want to stay for at least a week to try out a lot of dishes. The breakfast is like a three course meal in an upscale restaurant.
The location of the pension is on a quiet small street and excellent for walking to the center of the city. We highly recommended the Tempo pension If you visit Targu Mures on any occasion.

Room Tip: The rooms we stayed in were facing the courtyard and were quiet, large, clean and comfortable.

Very pleasant hotel with a convenient and good restaurant. Great for a short visit and within walking distance of the main historic boulevard. Rooms are large and clean. Staff is very nice. Even though my room faced the road it was quiet at night. Very well priced. I would stay here again.

Between 2008 and 2014 we used to be gest here foe an entire week - and we were very pleased with the location. So after several years when we needed to pick a spot for the the overnight stop there was no doubt - Tempo is the place.
The years passed , but even as per today the location is still very good - with some minor items to be highlighted.
Location - Targu Mures - Morii Street ... 15 minutes walking from the city center - so fairly central. Parking on the street in a private lot - but not in the courtyard anymore - that is a restaurant terrace in its entirety.
Check-in - check -out - fast and simple , payment by credit card.
Room - very good size - air-conditioning working, minibar with some beverages available - not fully loaded but enough. Here and there the furniture showed some wear and tear. Nice comfortable bed , strong Wi-fi signal in the room - free of charge, bathroom clean - nothing to complain about- slightly small.
Breakfast - that was the only disappointment - we were used to the buffet these guys were serving , but this summer somehow it was not as expected, very few choices and kind of below the known standard.
Prices - pocket friendly and they accept credit card. The restaurant on the premises still very good.
Overall a very good stay - not as good as previous ones , but still a place I recommend.

Hello,

Unfortunately, our experience at your restaurant was far from pleasant. Our server, Gerro, was very rude and negligent. Instead of attending to customers, he spent the entire time on his phone. Additionally, the service was very poor, and his responses were curt and disrespectful. It was evident that he had no interest in his job, which was reflected in the subpar service we received. We recommend reevaluating your staff to improve the quality of service.

Stayed here for 3 nights & found Tempo to be excellent. Lovely large room with a huge sofa, mini bar & tv & a big bathroom. Nice comfy bed, blackout curtains & plenty of storage. Breakfast was buffet style & was plentiful. The staff spoke good English & were nice & helpful. The on-site restaurant was very nice with plenty of choice & everything was so cheap, certainly don’t need much money! We had a lovely weekend with excellent weather. Would highly recommend.

We stopped at the Pension Tempo for one night, during a long road trip in Romania.
We got a spacious room facing the front & restaurant.
The room was clean and comfortable and we slept very well.
There is no elevator so I had to carry our suitcases upstairs.
TV had many English speaking channels.
We had a very good Romanian dinner at the hotel's busy restaurant.
Breakfast was nice.

We stayed 6 days at this hotel. It is on a side street in a residential area very close to the city center, so it is quiet but conveniently located. The room was very comfortable, the bed is firm and room cleaning was excellent. Breakfast is varied and plentiful and the waiter can be asked for cooked eggs; the omelette with ham and mushrooms was excellent. The restaurant is very good and is popular with the locals. If we ever travel back to Transylvania, this would be our choice again.

This was the first stay at this hotel and Inwas quite pleased with the service and quality of staff and room. The receptionist and wait staff were all very friendly and helpful. I also ordered room service and was able to easily locate an English speaker. The food arrived in about 15 minutes, which was impressive. Having been to the restaurant a number of times, I knew what to expect from the food...it was delicious!
Now about the room...not only was it much nicer than I expected, it was also very clean and modern AND equipped with AC which was a great relief due to the hot Romanian weather. I was placed on the first floor near the restaurant which wasn't a problem until the dinner time. I could here every slice and dice in the kitchen as well as the music from the restaurant. I did head down to the Laci Csarda restaurant eventually, but I found it hard to nap past 6p because of the noise. My advice is if you want a quiet evening, ask to be on the wing that is opposite the restaurant. Aside from this small annoyance, everything else was enjoyable. I will definitely stay here again during my next visit to Targu Mures.

I haven't reviewed this place in a couple of years. I really enjoy the food of the restaurant Laci Csarda, and the pensiune, as well as the quality breakfast that is serviced and the modern amenities of the rooms. This review is more about the staff, than the hotel. Everyone is very helpful, except one young blonde lady that wears glasses. She was at the receptionist desk when I last stayed in the pensiune this past Winter, so I decided I would wait to write my review upon staying again. Nope, this young lady has not changed. She is not only rude and blunt, but she also acts as if anytime you ask her for help, she is being bothered. There is an older woman with dark hair that is very funny and friendly, also a new brunette that has only been there a few months; they are both great. Unfortunately, the blonde seems to be working a lot and I couldn't avoid interacting with her. I speak sufficient enough Romanian, but needed help ordering room service as there were not any English speaking staff available, when I explained this to the blonde, she seemed upset that I asked for help and wanted me to eat alone at the restaurant which was really busy. I explained to her, I had a long international trip and was tired and hungry. I just wanted room service. She still raised her voice at me and I had to explain further. I should not have had to explain why I wanted to order room service. Overall, the food and service of the waitstaff was excellent. It was just this blonde woman that made me uncomfortable. The thing is, it was only like 4:00 in the afternoon and there were not any customers in the reception office.
The next day I stayed, I decided to hold off mentioning my issue with the blonde to the older dark haired woman, I did not have the heart to complain.
When I checked out the next day, there were some customers in front of me and the blonde woman was rude to them too! I thought it was just me, but NO. I seriously would hate to avoid this place because of the rudeness of this woman. I think the manager or owner, or whomever is in charge needs to inform this woman, that you can not be rude to clients, especially older people such as myself and others. It's really a shame, because I was one of the first people to mention the restaurant before its tons of ratings it now has. A lot of people stay at the hotel and want to eat at the restaurant, I would hate to think that the attitude of this young blonde woman is causing customers to have a bad impression of the place. Not sure that I will ever stay again, unless I really really have to for business.
