A perfect accommodation in a farm environment! The owner Lucy is the ultimate hostess. She was concerned with us having every aspect of our stay satisfactory. Many of the food items came from her gardens or orchards. This is a special place to feel peaceful and welcome. The hotel rooms are immaculately clean.
Although the restaurant is closed now and Lucy has limited the number of guests it is still a gem! We had a very good time, with all the great tips Lucy gave us about the painted monasteries and the egg museum. You can relax in the orchard and Lucy made us the best breakfast ever, with everything homemade from her own garden. Will definitely choose her place again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the setting is very attractive with an apple orchard, grassed area and flowers everywhere. Our room was moderately sized and attractively presented, both room and bathroom were spotless. Breakfast was buffet style, well presented and the food fresh. Young person in reception / shop area was friendly , informative and helpful. We had a lovely evening meal which was reasonably priced and served by a young main who was very pleasant and helpful. A most enjoyable stay.
We were upgraded to a larger room due to a plumbing issue in our original room. The staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to solve the problem. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant also with perhaps the best cabbage rolls I have ever had. Highly recommend
We are a family of 8 people from Israel I won’t to share our great experience at Hilde’s a beautiful place very good food fresh and natural The place is little Vienna in Gura-Humorului very comfortable rooms even for families . I want to congratulate the staff and the manager is very polite and understanding helped us with our invalid mom. They surprised us for our Jewish new year’s and set us a table with blessings thank u heldes for a great time we would definitely come again
The room was pleasant and the dinner we ordered was good. However, we were given a room 'Yang' which faced on to a building site which the roaming town dogs used as their nighttime rendezvous. There was much yapping most of the night and when we turned on the airconditioner to try to drown out the noise, it made various clunking noises now and then which drove us to switch it off. A very bad nights sleep. There was noone on sight to complain too either! It also had an A4 sheet 'Price list for damaged or lost items' in euros with 39 items listed ranging from glass (2) to wall mirror (500). Very unusual for a hotel to view all travellers as thieves.
Really lovely setting, clean and spotless, amazing home made apple juice and cider, with superb traditional home cooking! Fresh vegetable soup, stuffed cabbage rolls, polenta and pork ribs - with raw carrot spirals! Then to dessert, sour cream and Transylvanian blueberry doughnuts with cherry schnapps chasers! Hic!
We pulled in to Hilde's after seeing Voronet, and we were glad to find clean rooms with each room distinctively decorated and named. We also had a terrace off our sliding glass door which gave us a fine view of the valley and the neighborhood. Lovely little spot and quiet.
I had the opportunity to spend 9 days in this location mid July. From arrival the lady in reception was very friendly, helpful and explained to us the basic rules. She then took us to our room and everything was done very quickly and seamlessly, making us feel welcome. The room was a good size and very clean. The cleaners would come in daily and make the beds and depending on your choice change the towels etc. Very impressed. All of this was lovely but the biggest thank you has to go to Monica, Ionut and Cezara, the team of waiters working in the restaurant. They provide Michelin level service and also were very kind giving us tips about the surroundings. Moreover, they had that personal human touch that certain places lack. Very very impressed with them and could not thank them enough, They are possibly the biggest asset this location has to offer. The rear yard was beautiful and had multiple areas where you could relax and speak without being disturbed. All in all a great location frequented by a lot of foreign groups of tourists.…
We spent a night at Hilde's Residence and were warmly welcomed by Lucy and got a flat on two levels, with kitchen, bath and living area on the ground floor and the bedroom on the first floor. There is a nice patio to spend warm summer evenings. The flat called Rustic is traditionally furnished. We found fresh water bottles in the kitchen but unfortunately no coffee. The place is quiet (if you do forget about the neighbour's dogs barking), situated in a very nice environment. We had a nice traditional dinner with a wonderful wine. The waiter was most competent and had a good sense of humour.
