4 magical nights in Bucovina
Casa Humor perla Bucovinei. After a journey of 8 hours late in the evening we arrived at the Humor house.
Everything was perfect. After more than 15 years in which we were not on vacation in Romania, this location and implicitly Bucovina made us happy that it is possible in our country as well as abroad
All negative comments brought to this location are written I think by haters
The apartment we`ve stayed was beautiful with absolutely everything you want, daily cleaning
The children's playground perfect for children
The spa, and we enjoy the covit restrictions, was only with reservation(2h) and after a day of visiting the area was enough Everyone had the spa just for them. Water temperature was perfect
The restaurant ... Pfff
I don't think I've eaten better, tastier food than here.
Breakfast at first glance seems poor but each slice, piece, spoon of food was a wow for the taste buds. Everywhere I ate breakfast it was full table and of poor quality. Here everything is homemade and very delicious
Dinner .... 4 evenings of 5 stars
If breakfast was perfect dinner was a delight and even low prices for such quality. From pickles, to beef with mushroom sauce, to meatballs with mushrooms and potatoes, duck, pasta, and much more ending with papanasi and the wine of the house of Recaș and the beer of Iași full table and empty table at the end
And last and not least above all of that was the staff. From the reception to the waiters, Marian , to the cooks, everyone was very attentive to you. Tables quickly disposed of, disinfected, including bottles of salt and pepper, oil.
Bravo

We were accommodated at another pension in the nearby and went for lunch at Casa Humor today. Very impressed in the whole place: clean, friendly staff, super kids playing area and, above all excellent food, very tasty and reasonably expensive. They also have a spa for their guests...
We ate "ciorbă de perișoare", a tradițional Romanian sour soup with minced meat balls boiled inside (something like small meatballs), "ciorbă bucovineană de sfeclă roșie", local beetroot sour soup, "tocăniță de berbecuț", lamb stew with polenta and pickled cucumbers and for dessert, the Romanian traditional, "papanași" - some of the best we've ever eaten.
They also had home cooked bread and home made juices (we chose blueberry's).
Location is also nice, at the borders of Gura Humorului town / resort, surrounded mostly by nature, parking places inside the property's yard.
When we return to Bucovina we'll definitely want to try the full accommodation here.

We spent three nights at the Casa Humor in September. Casa Humor is located about 400 meters off the main road in Guru Humorului; this was nice given the location was quiet and provided a view of the surrounding hills. Our room was spacious with a nice balcony with two chairs. Breakfast was very good with many options to select from. They have a separate building for dinner that provides covered outdoor dining -- really nice space. The service was excellent. We enjoyed our stay at Casa Humor and would not hesitate staying their on future trips.

Casa Humor is an excellent option to stay while visiting Bucovina. The accommodation is very comfortable, rooms are spacious and staff is proffesional. Very well locared to explore Bucovina. All important sites are less than one hour away, most at 30-45 minutes drive. The Restaurant offers delicious food and the service is great ! Highly recommended !

The food was amazing and served at the right time. The staff was polite. We stayed for 2 nights, and we felt very welcomed. The pool table needs a bit of recondition. The playground for the kids is very close to the restaurant, and that made our daughter very happy.

Visiting the region, we stayed at this hotel. Our room was large, had a balcony and was quiet and comfortable. However, the service is terrible and the attendants are even impolite. They advertise that they have laundry, but they don't. They lock up the rooms and don't reopen until 8:00 AM. They don't clean the rooms and they don't let you know. When I asked, the housekeeper was very rude... Summary: good facilities and poor service.

We have been in Casa Humor one night while we were visiting the Bucovina's painted monasteries. We have been also taking dinner. We ordered as main courses stewed lamb and beef. It was delicious. The brought us homemade bread, very tasty. The waiter, Marian, was very well mannered and helpful. He also has a good command in Spanish. We want thank Marian for his work snd his attentive service. The rooms are ample and clean.

We made a stop here after a tour of the painted monasteries. Lovely, comfortable, quiet, room. Excellent breakfast but the real highlight was a late supper. The sommelier the hotel has really knows his craft, I have never, from London to Moscow, seen such experience of handling the wine [1000 Faces vineyard]. Food excellent, friendly staff and comfortable. It was the owner's birthday and his cake was simply devine! Thanks for sharing.

This is fairly basic hotel, perhaps 3 star, but guests should find it perfectly suitable as long as there is no expectation of upscale services such as luggage handling, valet parking, concierge service, etc. The hotel seems to be in two buildings and we were in what appeared to be the newer building located up the hill from reception and the breakfast room. Our balcony room, while not spacious or the most modern, was certainly adequate and offered a nice view. Like most of what we saw on the property, it was very clean and well maintained. In a nod toward some luxury the room had a stocked mini-fridge, and provided slippers and bathrobes. The building didn't seem to have a lift nor did the room have air conditioning, which could be an issue during hot weather.
Casa Humor is located on semi-rural property, perhaps a ten minute walk from the heart of Gura Humorului. During our stay in late May it didn't seem busy; instead it was very peaceful and quiet. In high season perhaps things get noisier and more crowded, as the property is family friendly with outdoor play equipment and other things for children to enjoy.
You could walk or drive to a restaurant for your evening meal, but there is probably no need to because we found the on-site restaurant to be quite good and not expensive. The dinner menu offered several traditional Romanian dishes along with other more international choices, and the wine and beer selection was fairly extensive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful in making meal choices. Weather permitting, plan to have dinner on the semi-sheltered outdoor terrace. Breakfast was included with our room rate (not sure this is always the arrangement), and was served (not buffet) in the breakfast room, again by a very friendly staff, and had lots of offerings including cooked-to-order eggs and very good coffee selections.
I am an early riser who likes coffee first thing in the morning. Unfortunately, when we were there the restaurant didn't open for breakfast or coffee until 8 A.M. As a suggestion, earlier coffee/tea service, perhaps in the lobby or other public area, would be appreciated by some guests.

For our wedding we rented this pension for 3 days for 45 persons and we we very pleased.
The owner was a true perfectionist and arranged many many things for us
like a traditional dancing group, carriages to visit the Voronet monastery nearby, a
priest & church to have there ceremony, decoration of the dining room for the feast,
a bbq in the outdoor hut at the top of the hill with a bonfire,... and the food was
very tasty too. The staff was really friendly, the rooms were clean, the wooden
terrace was relaxed to hang out, the pool and jacuzzi were a plus.
Really nothing bad we can say about the whole stay in Casa Humor. The location
is also very convenient for a trip around the painted unesco monasteries.
You will not regret staying here!
