The historical inn is a perfect place for a romantic weekend . The backstory of it is amazing started by two guys who ended up starting Wells Fargo and American Express. Rooms are nice. Bathrooms are spacious. Just a very pretty destination.

We live an hour away but never knew this existed. I'm sitting in the dining room of the Zebriski house as I write this review. We are here for the wedding of a friend's son. The wedding party took all 5 of the Inns of Aurora for the complete weekend wedding events. The entire experience is idyllic. Cayuga Lake, the Inns, Aurora itself so beautiful. Gerri the lovely innkeeper of the Zebriski house is amazing. She has contributed to this wonderful experience. Our balcony room is luxurious, we slept well. No noise. Enjoying my coffee and waiting for my beautiful wife to be ready, but that's another story.

If you are headed up to the Finger Lakes of NY you must visit The Aurora Inn and its sister inns as they are exquisite. We stayed in Rowland house and loved it. We had an innkeeper, Carolyn for two nights and then Elise, for our last night and both of them were fantastic as they were pretty much our tour guides for the area. Plus, they new the history of each Inn. Best of all three of the inns are right onLake Cayuga while the two other inns are across the street. And then the Spa! I have been to a number of spas and this one is definitely in the top 3! The Spa sits in an open field with fantastic views of the lake. The architecture of the building is stunning. Both inside and out. Every detail was thought of. I had a fantastic massage and then jumped in the hydrotherapy pools (cold and hot). The food at both 1833 and at Fargo were fantastic. Oh...and the fresh baked granola bars are off the chart good! If you are headed up to the Finger Lakes The Aurora Inn is a must stop, stay and eat property to check out!

A collage of 5 boutique Inns, each graced with a distinctive luxurious artistic raison d'etre, and overlooking the majestic waters of Lake Cayuga in upstate New York, sits the Inns of Aurora. Each Inn: the Morgan House, Rowland House, Aurora House, Wallcourt House and the Zabriskie House features wide porches with Adirondack chairs, sweeping lawns (or snow if in season), panoramic views, while inside is stocked with, impressive art collections and artworks complimented by custom fabrics and curated antiques from around the globe. Service was attentive, friendly and professional. I was delighted with my room at the Aurora Inn with its classic elegant look and luxurious feel. The stature of the room was elevated by the unique design. artwork, furnishings, lake views, balcony and fireplace. Plenty of high-tech appliances adorned the room and the bath was outfitted with a walk-in shower and luxe toiletries. The 1833 Kitchen and Bar is the Aurora Inn signature restaurant, offering fine-dining with farm-to-table Finger Lake ingredients. Menu options include a variety of fresh seafood, meaty items, stellar wine list and lots of beer selections. Fargo Bar is a village style eatery sporting locally sourced brews from the region with traditional American pub food featuring locally sourced ingredients and made from scratch dishes. The Village Market has take-home meals plus chilis and chowders, fresh coffee, morning pastries and gifts to remind you of your Aurora adventure. Aurora Cooks Demonstration is a chance for guests to sharped up their culinary skills in one of the diverse cooking classes. Guests are privy to all the numerous activities throughout the entirety of the resort . At the Schoolhouse yoga is in order, meditation and serenity programs as well. How about tarot reading , bird watching or scenic painting and for heart-pacing activities like kayaking, paddle-boarding and executing the sun salutation yoga ritual. At the end of the day, reading a book in the quietness of the farmland is special. The jewel of the Aurora is the Spa ......a crisp white barn inspired compound which sits atop a hill. The facility is bourgeoning with equipment and service like 2 hydrotherapy circuits, pools, single and coed spaces, locker rooms with saunas, steam and showers with 10 treatment rooms ( 4 with fireplaces) and the list keeps going. The Spa provides a raft of treatments from massages to body wraps and beyond. So if you are in the mood for country-side historic living in a luxurious estate backdrop complete with awarding winning cuisine and an absolutely gratifying spa farmhouse... .....then try the........... Aurora Inn..........Utilmate Peace & Quiet.

We stayed here for four nights during our visit to the Finger Lakes. Our room at the Aurora Inn was very comfortable, and we enjoyed the fireplace on the rainy nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful and went above and beyond expectations on several occasions. We had a wonderful stay here.

Aurora Inn is a collection of mansions. Choose a room in the EB Morgan Mansion (there are seven) and a room with a lake view. It’s more expensive, but worth it. It’s an elegant mansion, built in 1858 and renovated in 2005. Tip: Room 7 is modern and has a lake view. We loved it. The Inn and and its 1833 Kitchen and Bar complement each other well. Food for evening dinner at 1833 was among the best in a week in the Finger Lakes. Most of the inns have innkeepers; we had three different ones at Morgan over 4 days and 3 nights and all were helpful, interested, engaging without being to assuming. Tip: Plan for the glass of wine and cheese and crackers between 5-6pm each day. Tip: Plan to spend time on the back porch, reading, listening to music or a podcast or playing a game or cards. The mansion begs you to slow down and take it slower than you normally do. The bathroom has two Kolher showerheads and strong water pressure. That was a nice surprise in an older building but is part of the renovations. Someone wrote to bring your own pillows. I can understand that; the pillows are not firm so that’s a good suggestion. I’d love to return to the Aurora Inn! 🏨

The Inn and room were amazing. Incredible renovation and art work. Great view of the lake and sleeping with windows open and cross ventilation was a great break from the city. The Innkeepers, Emily and Caroline were absolutely the best. Coffee in the morning was great, but a little variety in the granola bars every morning would have been nice. I was a little surprised that they charged for an extra glass of wine at happy hour. The room rates are high, and the wine isn't really that good. Dining is a real problem if you decide to stay here. There is only one restaurant without having to drive about twenty miles. Same food every night. Specials would have been nice. The service however, is over the top. We will definitely come back, but for a little shorter stay next time.

We planned a few days away for our honeymoon, and we were very pleased with all the Inns of Aurora had to offer! The staff was helpful and kind, the rooms were clean, and the food at 1833 Kitchen and Bar was awesome. We will definitely be making a trip back in the near future!
