Old but rooms are fresh however the food are not so good. So you can go outside to try and taste the different bacolod delicacies. Location a little bit far from the town plaza and other night outs and day outs.

I have travelled extensively to ALL countries around Asia, America, New Zealand, Canada and many cities within Australia. I have never experienced or been treated by poor deceitful & Unprofessional Hotel Management, who in my view lacks knowledge in CUSTOMER SERVICE.
On arrival at Bacolod Airport on the 26th November we were greeted by the Hotel driver and taken to our Hotel. Our flight was delayed by 3 hrs leaving Manila. The driver stayed patiently for us at the Airport. He was very polite and courteous during our transfer from arrival at the airport to the hotel.
The Standard Room and bed that I booked through the internet was too small. When I requested a larger room and a larger bed. The Personal Supervisor M/s Paddy was so lovely, helpful and had no hesitation to upgrade us to a Royal Suite at no extra cost. The next day she arranged for us to be in a Superior Deluxe room which was larger than the Standard room, and provided a special discounted rate for the room.
The staff at reception & restaurant was always obliging and would ALWAYS go to any lengths in helping us in any way they could. They always greeted us each morning with a smile and good morning Mamm & Sir. (Special thanks to Paddy, Jenny, Chavez Sheryl, Ayala Caryl, Joel, Menrod & Billy)
The buffet breakfast and meals at the restaurant were of an International standard.
The room was made spotlessly & cleaned daily. Everything done to detail. Nothing was a hasel for them to do. Housekeeping staff always greeted us each morning with a smile and good Morning Mamm & Sir.
Some of the amenities such as Fast Internet Service, Telephone in the bathroom, Hair Dryer, Iron /Ironing Board which were advertised on the East View website were NOT provided in our room. When I requested an Iron and Ironing board I was told by Management Jan Christopher Chua that no Iron or Ironing board is available for guests to use in the rooms. If guests requested Ironing to be done a charge would apply. (To Iron 4 Items 1 shirt 1 ladies top, 2 shorts cost 190 Pesos)
When I questioned this issue with Jan Christopher Chua the Hotel Manager about the above items listed on the Hotel Website Room amenities inclusions no response was given by him.
Numerous times the Television, Telephone & Internet was not working. When I raised these issues with staff at reception it had to be escalated to Jan Christopher Chua the hotel Manager. Under no circumstances were these issues fixed or was the Hotel Manager Jan Christopher Chua interested or willing to resolve these issues. The WIFI internet was not working for 2 days during our stay. This was very frustrating as I was unable to keep in contact with my business & family in Australia. I had to go to an Internet Café to use the Internet.
Prior to checking out on the 3 December’ 10. I was told by Jan Christopher Chua the Hotel Manager that I would incur additional charges for the use of a Jug & 2 cups which my partner had requested to be placed in the room to boil water. The charge for the Jug was 100 and the cups 40 Pesos PER DAY.
When I refused to pay these costs in lieu of the Internet not working for 2 days, No Hair Dryer Television & Phone in the room not working. Jan Christopher Chua refused to listen to my complaint or concerns and walked away.
When my partner & I wanted to check out many times from the Hotel during our stay of 7 nights Paddy the Personnel Supervisor and many of the Hotel Staff at reception pleaded with us to stay and they would work things out for us.
My suggestion to Jan Christopher Chua the Hotel Manager the sooner he employs another suitable Manager to manage the Hotel in a very profession CUSTOMER FOCUS driven manner the hotel will prosper and then guests will be happy to stay at the East View Hotel.

Geoff (From Australia)

we stayed here one night only and had good night's rest plus had good breakfast the next day BUT we were surprised to be charged twice when the credit card receipt arrived months later. Might be accidental on their part but we tried to contact them to ask for refund. But surprisingly the staff kept delaying the settlement, saying some factors like the manager is off or busy, to the point it becomes annoyingly hard to follow up. we tried to call the 2nd and 3rd time and heard promises for settlement. Now it is been a month and still there is no action. The staff even promised to call back and we waited to no avail. hopefully they will and can resolve this case(s) faster not to irk the loyalty of customers and hopefully doesn't happen to travelers in the future.

Front desk lady had an attitude, gave us the wrong room, and forgot to give us a keycard for electricity. She had an unfounded air of condescension. The room had water damage on the ceiling and smelled like mold. Water pressure in the bathroom was horrendous.
All around bad. Not worth it. Spend the extra 250 pesos ($5) and get a much nicer spot downtown

The parking space needs improvement. From the outside you would assume that it's not that good of a hotel. But when you step inside, you'd be really amazed! The lobby is very clean, spacious and sophisticated. The staff are nice and accommodating especially the restaurant staff. The rooms are even better. Very clean and classy. I especially like the beds. Soft, smooth and really wonderful to sleep in. The bathrooms are super clean and the restaurant food's great. The only hassle is the number of On-the-Job trainees you encounter when you step out of the elevator (especially on the 3rd or 4th floor) and the location is not that good. Beside the hotel there are pedicabs and "carinderia". Big trucks carrying sugarcane and emitting black smoke passes by the hotel. Definitely an eyesore. Only compensation is that Jollibee, McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts and Lopue's East Mall are only a walk away. Hotel's prices are not that expensive and absolutely worth every cent!

In all honesty, East View is even better than L'Fisher. The food, staff and amenities are superb!

I stayed one night here with the wife and kids. The room rates were very reasonable - not bad for a hotel that's only a few years old.

ROOMS - Spacious and clean (there were four adults and three children in our room, and we fit comfortably). I liked the mellow color tone of the room - pretty relaxing.

BATHROOM - Fairly sized and clean as well, with the same earthy color tone as the room that I like. I did have some problems with the bathroom though, namely:

1. The shower stall didn't have a curtain or a door, just a fixed barrier that went half the way from one wall to the other. Because of this, a lot of water from the shower drizzled out onto the area outside the shower stall every time someone took a bath.

2. The shower head had around forty or fifty holes in it, but most were clogged. There were only around ten holes that allowed water to go through. Problem here is when you turn the faucet on fully, you have these ten really small and high-pressure jets of water coming out, stinging your skin. If you turn the faucet on just halfway, you don't have the stinging water, but showering takes forever.

LOCATION - The hotel is located near the corner of two main highways, making it convenient for getting around. There is a big gas station with a convenience store and a McDonald's nearby as well.

STAFF - They were pretty polite and accommodating.

FOOD - Can't comment as we skipped eating in the hotel.

All in all, it's a pretty decent place. The only thing that bothered me is that I stayed here last year (April 2012), and it seemed a lot better back then. As in, a LOT better. Now, you have a lot of flaking paint on the corridor walls and the clogged shower head I mentioned. I'm hoping that the owners can do a better job maintaining the place.

Traveled April 2013.

My husband and I stayed from the 18th April 2012 for three weeks and had an excellent experience. The hotel was modern and the reception area was bright and welcoming. The reception staff were very professional and attentive to our needs.
Our room on the fifth floor was large and bright and we settled in very quickly. The bathroom was of a very good standard with abundant hot and cold water plus an excellent shower. The beds were very comfortable and the curtains provided ample blackout. Everyday, the room was cleaned to a very high standard and towels replaced. We thank Cherry, the housekeeper supervisor for always making sure our room was inviting and satisfying during our stay.

We highly recommend this hotel and will used it again on our next visit to Bocolod.

Fellow Travellers,
If you happen to be in Bacolod, referred to as the City of Smiles by the locals, I would highly recommend staying at the East View. My colleagues and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a conference that we were presenting at. The rooms are simple and very clean and the beds were very comfy and a step up from what we are sleeping on at home. The internet access is very fast and the air conditioning worked really well.
The venue for the conference was also very appropriate and accommodated 200 people comfortably.
The highlight of this hotel though has got to be the friendly service throughout the entire hotel. The ladies at the front desk were more than patient with us as we asked for hair dryers, got our clothes pressed, asked them to split up the bill three ways, and stored our luggage in a back room while we were doing other events after checking out. When we decided to stay at the hotel another night even though the conference was technically over they gave us the same discount and 2 complimentary breakfasts for the next morning without us even asking!
We haven't gotten to see much of the city of Bacolod yet but the hotel is not far from the docks where we arrived and there is a huge mall only 12 minutes away by taxi.

Thank you for making our stay a comfortable one!

This hotel offers value for money with its interiors, room comfort, and great location. The complimentary buffet breakfast is better than others in the same rate. The lobby is impressive with the grand sraircase. The best thing is its location, you can stroll at night and enjoy Bacolod's sights and sounds, with the government center just a few minutes away. However if you're looking for strong wifi connection, they don't have it even if you request assistance and inform them about it.
