Health protocols in this place are merelt suggestions. You may or may not follow. The staff is not friendly. Guests smoke inside the dining area. The lady owner as well. She insulted me and my friend. She smokes cigarettes while preparing to serve your meal. The place e is not family friendly. I STRONGLY SUGGEST you eat pizza somewhere else. There are plenty in the city. You don't have to go all the way to this place. One more thing. The swimming pool is dirty. The water is brownish blue. Best of luck.
Here for coffee and bake goods. Quite okay, since they use nespresso!! The sweet Danish and buns are quite nice... But I was expecting a bit less sweet. Atmosphere is good. Lots of trees and shade, so it's not too hot even without the fan.
I almost eat 4 times dinner different menu all at above average but not fantastic ; Waiters need some more better attitudes; they are not rude but not helpfull at all ; Food and drink prices also sensible ; there are obvious “not smoking “ sign at the restaurant but smokers ignore it and smoking freely ; it is open air restaurant under high wood shelter but once many smokers around enough to make premise smoky
Been frequenting this resort for many years and know the grumpy old Austrian owner Wolfgang well. The fact is the place is mid range throughout; food, service, quality, rooms, deli shop, etc. are all just average and nothing great BUT what it does offer is a respite away from the hustle and dust of the congestion as the main house is situated amidst a lush green tropical forest surrounded by private room clusters in the garden. There is a pool and the local expat tennis club plays frequently in the single court they offer which adds a bit to the flair as foreigners are seen frequenting this place. A German product based deli and bake shop along with a wine cellar which can be used for private events are definite pluses.
Haruhay is not a luxury resort, at least not by first-world standards. The rooms are clean and bright, but somewhat basic. Still, air conditioning works and there is hot water (though not wifi). About fifteen minutes' walk (or a super cheap ride from a tricycle) to the beach. Oh, and the price is right. But the restaurant is what clinches it. Austrian and German dishes done right, along with proper German beer. A great end to a day of scuba diving for me!
