Don't waste time to complain, manager would not defend their guests, instead you will be insulted by the arrogant manager. Book and STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!! You wouldn't want your happy holidays mood be ruined by the Plantation bay management!
Plantation Bay Day Use Pass Inclusions: Set lunch and choice of drink, access to lagoons and swimming pools, beach and water volleyball, 30-minute use of bicycles, 15-minute use of non-motorized sports facilities, (Stand-Up Paddle Board or Kayak), badminton, shower and changing facilities I am a bit hesitant to book a day pass considering the previous issues that Plantation Bay had, fortunately I did because this activity is so worth it. I more than get my money's worth. Here's why.. What I like/love.. 1. Amazing swimming pools and lagoons. This is probably the largest pools I have seen in my life and they are huuggee.. They are all artificial as the floor is made of concrete, but I enjoy swimming and lounging at the areas. It's very Instagrammable. 2. Activities. So many included activities like cycling, kayaking, gym, wall climbing (Not available). You will not be bored because of variety of activities. Kids and adults will enjoy the facilities. Try their biking and kayaking, as it's so fun. 3. Mogambo Springs. This is the most serene and quietest part of Plantation Bay. The Japanese inspired area is so full of greenery with bamboos and shrines scattered in the area. It's so beautiful. I have so much fun taking photos. I highly recommend visiting the place as it's the highlight for me. 4. Food. The included set lunch is so frigging delicious. Hands down, one of my better meals in Cebu. 5. Staff. The staff are very kind and hospitable. Special shout-out to the receptionist who explained to me the facilities on the resort. What I don't like.. 1. Beach. Don't expect the beach to be Boracay. It's very small and the sand is not that great. The beach is also rocky and there are many sea grasses. It's just good for a few minutes swim. 2. Closed facilities. Some facilities like archery, wall climbing and the Alien Adventure are closed. They are apologetic though. Hopefully, once I go back they are now open. I think I am the only one day tripper during that day since I am solo at the changing room. Honestly, I just booked Plantation Bay out of the blue.. I don't particularly enjoy visiting resorts. However, during my time there, I have so fun and I enjoyed what their resorts offer. For the price I paid, it's a steal. Verdict: Recommended when visiting Mactan and if you're in a budget…
I've stayed here at Plantation Bay 3 times now and each time has been very good. The resort itself is very nice, with luxurious pools & activities on site. The staff are very nice and helpful. The fitness centre has become a little aged and I would say it's time to upgrade some of the equipment, once travel becomes the normality again. I recommend this hotel for families or couples, who wish to stay within a resort hotel itself. The hotel offers various restaurants on site (all of which are very nice and reasonable prices).
I love plantation Bay it has a very large pool beautiful garden it’s perfect for families for kids and for staycation with friends the offer good food in the restaurant they offer free tour around the hotel and they are very welcoming and accommodating even for none in houseguest
I have read a lot of bad reviews about this resort. I didn't expect to have firsthand bad experience. We were forced to booked another extra room just because my extra 4 and 6 years old kids were not free to stay. First time it happened to us. We've been many times to local resorts like shangrila, crimson, dusit and crimson but kids under 6 are free to stay. All are very considerate and accomodating. Except them and there is something wrong here. This resort is not for family with small kids under 6 yrs old. I will rate our stay a 2⭐ for this. This is My opinion and based also from our experiences from the other resorts.
