Greenest resort in Mactan so far. Very relaxing! Architectural design was amazing. There's a lot of open and wide spaces in the property that makes you feel comfortable and gives you privacy to enjoy the experience. Staff are always smiling and greets you it feels welcoming. Food are delicious especially the prosciotto pizza, authentic taste! All their rooms have balcony and kitchen where we can cook plus i love the fact that they have washing machine inside. Total experience was really great. We enjoy the tambuli experience. We will definitely comeback.

Since we had to cancel our Camotes trip due to the weather, we decided a day before to book this resort. It is still very new so the taxi we took got lost since this is on the far end of a small road. You need to have your own transportation if you intend to go out for meals or explore Mactan. But aside from them, this place is just amazing! The room we chose was suitable for cooking and preparing your meals; all kitchen and eating accessories are included. We had a washing machine as well which is always a plus point for me who has a small kid. They have seven pools in total which would not make it a crowded place for swimming. The lobby is wonderful! Reminded me of a very nice resort in Muine Vietnam. This resort is really for relaxing and just enjoying the sea (not so nice seashore), the sun and the pool.

We stayed in the resort from July 9-12. What a pleasant stay ended disappointing. When we were checking out, Mary, the reception lady, told me that a reading light was broken in the master’s bedroom. Without asking for too much details, I asked how much do we need to pay since we are trying to catch our 1:20PM flight. After several calls to housekeeping and maintenance, she still can’t give us the exact amount (She checked their list and it was at P1,000+). I was there for almost 20 minutes waiting. When the yaya of our daughter approached me, she told me that the reading light was already broken when we arrived. That’s the time I already cited some broken fixtures in our room (A3FG) when we arrived. We didn’t make these an issue because these really didn’t bother us. But for you to charge us for something we didn’t break, this is simply wrong. After more minutes and Mary cannot still let us go because of confirmation calls she has to make, I just decided to give her P2,000.00 and leave. I hope that will “fix” whatever we “broke”.

I thought we were already done. On our way to the airport, I got a call that I wasn’t charged the whole amount. I didn’t notice this because we were rushing to catch our flight. I got a call and said I will just settle everything via bank transfer.

Since I am already making this as my review, allow me to highlight items for improvement:
1. Breakfast starts at 8AM and pools open at 9AM. I hope you can reconsider opening earlier for people who wake up early. Pools close at 6PM. Too early for something that opens late.
2. Water refills in the room should be free. This is the first time I’ve encountered that we are being charged Php105/ bottle for any hotel/resort we’ve stayed at. We just stayed a few weeks ago in Shangri-La, Crimson and JPark.
3. Some rooms need renovation/fixing. Our room’s cabinets need refurbishing and the some walls, repainting.
Overall, our stay was good albeit the hassle we encountered during the checkout. Food is great and the staffs are friendly and accommodating. But honestly, I will think twice if we will stay here again.

I stayed for 1 month at the Tambuli Resort in Mactan Maribago with my wife but I will not return to this place because the Administration is unwelcoming and much too strict with the residents. We could not cancel our reservation because the rental was unfortunately prepaid. We were really disappointed because we didn't have access to the beach area or to the gym. Walks around the pool were also not allowed. In fact, if you want to have access to the amenities of Tambuli, you have to pay daily fees in addition to renting an apartment or hotel room. If you do not own a condominium, the head of administration does not consider you. The management is not open-minded and accommodating with the tenants, they will not help you if necessary even if you rent for a long stay. In addition, shops, restaurants or supermarkets are located very far away. We will never buy an apartment in this place because we cannot rent it to tenants or demanding guests. It's really a bad investment and it's definitely better to find another place to buy real estate.

It was my first time at Tambuli along with my 2 friends and first time staying in a resort in Mactan. We were delighted by the property upon arrival, everything was going smooth. Although we were not aware that the layout of the resort is originated from condominiums meaning a 5-7 min walk across the parking lot to the restaurant & amenities, also the room gave us the feeling like we’re staying in an air bnb. There was no decor on the walls, the view was not sea view as agreed (faced a building), and the bed room door made out of cheap plywood didn’t insulate any noise especially with the missing lock and knob (we use our finger in the hole to pull the door open and block the door with the luggage stand to close it).
This was not our main concern, around 12nn we went to the beach, it was just us and maybe 1 other family, we enjoyed the boardwalk and landing but around 2 or 3 pm we noticed there was a large influx of people who definitely weren’t staying at the resort. I felt like it became a public beach, the newcomers were screaming, talking loud, taking photos of us under the umbrella (myself and 2 females), some were laying on the decorate rock landscaping. It begs the question why is there a function allowed during CoVid and how come they allowed them to access the beach that I had paid over 10k to enjoy?
Around 3 or 4pm the noise was so loud it was deafening and we could no longer enjoy ourselves and left for the room. Thankfully we got to the room and ordered room service, the food was delicious (signature burger, pasta & tuna melt) despite it arriving after over 1 hour. Once we rested, we were able to catch the happy hour and had drinks & pizza at the restaurant (Luigi was an amazing server), my mood was lifted a bit. We woke up for the buffet the next day, only to have to wait to be served by only one attendant who manned several stations, when there is 4 or 5 people in line. At times there was no one behind the station to serve, actually no one was in sight to help, so you have to wait until someone shows up to be served food.

I spoke to the manager about this. She’s glad I brought all of this to their attention yet She said they couldn’t even afford to give us a free day pass to make up for it so I doubt we’ll be staying there again.

The entrance was guarded with security personnel, so safety is not a problem. The staff were all very polite and helpful. The two restaurants served freat food also. We had lunch at the cafe and dinner at the fine dining restaurant. There are multiple large pools, and they provided dry towels and foam sticks. If you have kids, they will surely have a blast! We went to the beach and tried out canoeing (30 mins, included in our room rate), it was okay, but the water was somewhat murky and we didn't really see anything. Some people say the rooms were too basic, but I thought our room was very well-equipped. There was a washing machine, a kitchenette with basic pots and pans, utensils, and a large fridge. You could easily stay there for a couple days. Good resort for a laid-back vacation.

A week at Tambuli Resort and SPA
Driving into the place is less desirable due to the town that leads you there.
The armed guard at the gates to keep people out of the compound

Pro:
The people are most friendly and helpful
The room and view can be beautiful in the right room
The food well there are a few eateries
Cost/prices are high, and they have a captured audience for charging the prices
Housekeeping does a great job cleaning the rooms.
Training for the hospitality staff would go a long way, as would an employee-of-month recognition program for the staff.

Con:
The food you have to watch out for due to certain foods. I got sick here three times in one week from certain foods, and I reported it to the manager; on BBQ night, the bugs were out in full force on the food.
Can not keep hot food on the buffet

When I check in they gave a room with a view of a junk yard out my window which they change for me.

The Master Bedrooms and bathroom are very small to move around in. for a couple.

Beware of your deposit of 300 pesos.
They will keep the deposit BS charges for example, they need to do laundry on stuff that is hard to clean after you use it.

Pros: The rooms are nice, staff is friendly, and the grounds are beautiful with lush trees and landscaping.
breakfast depends on how many guests are staying at the resort.

Cons: I stayed here for 7 nights and they require 2000 Pesos a night deposit for incidentals (total 14,000 Pesos). You must wear a wrist band during your entire stay, as they have different tier guests. The beach and pool close at 5pm. The slide/activity pool is only open on weekends. The gym closes at 6pm. The pool and beach can be rented out by non-guests for a daily fee, so plan sharing the pool and beach with people that bring their children and family for a day of fun. Some days they have a breakfast buffet (which is nice), but other days they have a plated breakfast (not all you can eat) depending on how many guests stay at the resort. So your breakfast depends on how many guests are staying at the resort.

Dear @Patglobetrotter, All of the guests of Tambuli Seaside Resort and Spa can access the pool, gym, pools and other resort facilities. I think you rented your unit thru Aibnb hence, not part of the resort. Moreover, aibnb is not allowed so, if f you can give us the name of the person you dealt with, then we can let him or her address your concerns. Thank you!

We stayed at Tambuli Resort for 4 nights and I must say that the services provided exceeded our expectations. From the customer service representatives at the reception, housekeeping, concierge and all staff at Cafe Hojas did their best to make our stay very comfortable and felt welcomed. A special thanks to Kevin at Cafe Hojas and Martin at concierge who did their best looking after us during our stay.

We booked a Queen studio room which facing a swimming pool. However,  we were assigned to a room which facing a courtyard and there were construction/renovations racks temporarily built on our balcony. We requested to change our room to a swimming pool view and the receptionist was quite accommodating after spoken to their manager on duty.

The studio room was very spacious, comfortable and quiet. The hotel is located at Lapu Lapu city and we got access to the shopping mall and restaurant (LG Garden Walk and Shang's Place) by Grab.

The downsize of this hotel was there was no night swimming at the main pool (closed at 6pm). However,  the smaller pool with a swim up bar was opened until 10pm.

Even though the hotel was located on the beach front, we couldn't really swim at the beach due to rogue waves at all times and filled with mud.
