We were last here March 2024. During that time, a previous guest left their soiled clothes in the Clothes Cabinet. I just asked the housekeeping to remove it, no biggie. This time around, there were multiple, successive lapses in management. First, we booked a suite room for our anniversary, but when we got inside our room, they downgraded us to a Deluxe Twin Room. The receptionist made a mistake, but she remedied it & transferred us to a suite room. Second, for a booking of 2 adults, they gave us only 2 pillows on our bed. I asked for another 2 pillows, but they said they would charge us for extra pillows! My husband immediately complained that in the Deluxe Twin Room they previously gave, we had 2 pillows EACH, & now that we’re in a Suite Room, they downgraded us to 1 pillow each?! They backtracked & gave us another 2 pillows with no extra charge. Third & lastly, we intended to put our bottled juices & water inside the refrigerator, when lo & behold, upon opening the ref, a previous guest’s food is still left inside, all smelly & moldy 🤢🤮 We just closed the ref & decided that this hotel is the WORST! I do not recommend at all! Poor overall operations management & housekeeping services!

Good Structure easily near the Sea, offers also a pool. Staff very hospitable and present.
Surely distintive stay. Some air cons could be replaced but the Staff had provided to change room in case of some Little disconfort. So a Good Experience definitively like the Little restaurante inside the Structure can help you in case of necessity for satisfy your tastes.

Location is not convenient. Too far from the highway and you have nothing to do inside the village. No activities at all. The swimming pool is not usable. Indicated in our booking that it has complete amenities but they don't give the amenity kits unless you ask for it.

Food is tasty and affordable. Very lutong pambahay.

**Location: 5/10**

The location was quite misleading. The hotel doesn't have its own pool as shown in the pictures on Agoda. Guests have access to Vistamar's pool and beach because of their affiliation, as well as La Miranda's pool. However, getting there is a hassle. The access road from the highway is confusing, and Google Maps gets it wrong because one of the gates is closed. The way is through Mactan Newtown and into a private subdivision. There are no tricycles available to get out; they only offer a free shuttle or Grab service.

**Room: 9/10**

The room was spacious, which was a positive point. However, the TV channels were very limited, which was a bit disappointing.

**Food: 8/10**

The food was good and plated well. We initially thought it would be a buffet based on previous reviews, but it turns out they only offer a buffet if there are enough guests, which is understandable.

**Front Office/Customer Service: 2/10**

This was the most frustrating part of our stay. We had to make numerous calls to their phone, which seemed to be on "silent mode" because they claimed they couldn't hear it ringing. We had to resort to calling them on their cell phone. The worst experience was when we left at 2:30 PM and requested our room to be cleaned and the breakfast plates to be cleared. We returned at almost 11 PM only to find that the room hadn't been cleaned at all. The plates and trash were still there, attracting ants!!. This level of service is unacceptable.

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, and the poor service from the front desk and the confusing access road really ruined the experience for us. We won’t be coming back!!

I looked at the photos of the suite and I was so happy that I made a reservation here, and they told me to wait for you to check in and give you a deluxe room.Do you think we are fools?I almost slept in that room if you hadn't told me. I told you again that I had reserved a suite for you to wait.
The two rooms were quite different, but all the staff at the reception were unfriendly. I thought even a foreigner wouldn't know!I'm very angry.

This hotel is closed in in a compound, so if you want to experience the Philippines then do not choose Sotogrande. It's an okay hotel, however, somewhat expensive and you need to take a taxi to go anywhere.

Sotogrande has a bed, a bathroom, a restaurant and friendly staff, but besides these basics, it is a lifeless hotel detached from any Philippine warmth and experiences.

This place is a sad remnant of bygone days. The resort in front of it (Vistamar Resort) is the better option. The beach view is obstructed by the Vistamar. No room upkeep, no replacement of water or coffee in the room. Bad breakfast.

The room was cozy and the bed and pillows were very fluffy. Me and my friend booked a suite & deluxe room which is connecting to each other. We had a comfortable stay and i enjoyed the bathtub too!

Crossing to Vistamar resort to access the resort facilities was comfortable too! not far. Reasonably priced for a newly renovated room. Love the place. We will definitely comeback. And, ah the beach also was very inviting to swim clear & clean. Thank you to Ms Bianca and Ms Gem for very accomodating.

Sotogrande is not a resort. It is a barely-functioning hotel set in the wasteland of a failed housing development. There are no activities or amenities, the beach is poor, the staff are friendly but unhelpful. There is no shop to buy things. The tennis court is a ruin, the billiards room covered in dust and cockroach poop. The food is poor (think mostly reheated left-overs from last night), the room phones broken, in-room safe was completely removable (and we could not open it), and the balcony doors had no locks. Anything worth doing is a 20-60 minute taxi ride away, when they can actually get a taxi to come and collect you (even the promise of a decent tip doesn't guarantee a taxi pickup), which can often take more than 30 minutes. The transfer that we had arranged from the airport did not arrive. The best I can say is that the room was clean. It is not clear that the management know how to run a hotel. I would not stay here again unless I wanted inspiration for a tropical horror film.
