I liked the security machine for all incoming baggage, it definitely made us feel safe. Their lobby is not the biggest but it was Christmas so it was well decorated with lovely ambiance. Breakfast is decent. Good selection of food. Room is clean, quite old furnishings, the pool is small. Very close to the night market and shopping malls. Visited 2017. We will be back.

Marco Polo Davao City is one of the best hotels in Davao City. I was there in 2015 and I had the best time ever! The hotel is very beautiful. They have gorgeous artwork and they also had a really yummy restaurant. You could also order food to be delivered to your room. It was the best experience ever. The friend I was with had injured his knee and so we called the doctor and they fixed his knee. I was amazed that there was a doctor who could come and clean his cut.
stayed here at the wife's wanting, paid a little premium but was well worth it. The staff were awesome will enjoy them again in the near future, The returns are amazing as well as the concierge. Will always use them when in the Davao area.
The Marco Polo in Davao City is five star all the way. The room was spacious and had a good view of the city. The Breakfast buffet was the best I had during my two month holiday, both because of quality and variety. The staff- from Front Desk, to Bellmen to cleaning staff were totally professional and had the customer friendly attitude you like to find. Taxi's were easily available to visit day trip attracations. I will definitely use this property when I return to Davao.
Since It's my first trip in Davao, I have decided to try 2 hotels in the city and this is one of them. I have heard that if you go to Davao, your one and only option is Marco Polo. But this statement does not apply anymore. Personally, for the name of the chain and for the price I have paid for, I was hoping for something better. I think that this property had it's prime and should try to slowly adapt to the present time. The rooms are like stucked in the 90's. It reminded me of the time I stayed at the Marco Polo Hong Kong decades ago... I suggest that they renovate soon to claim their old status. Would definitely try other newer hotels unless you love everything from the 80's to the 90's
Stayed overnight for a lecture the following day. It was a very hectic trip so I was glad to have a restful night. Some noise from the street below but expect that everywhere you go in Davao. Service was excellent from start to finish. Food is always good. Got an upgrade which was spectacular. Thank you a Marco Polo. It’s always a joy to stay with you.
My daughter's first time to come for a visit and I told her about this hotel. We have the best view, the Night Market!!!. She loved eveything in this hotel, from our room, the view, breakfast, the decor and the accessibility to the centrum. The night market is the bonus. Oh, and of course the staff are helpful. Highly recommended.
For a hotel with the label of The Marco Polo, this one is not as homey, comfortable and stress-free as other hotels. First, the security is overly strict. You get out, you get in, even in a matter of seconds or even for just a few meters from the door, but you will undergo the same frisking and x-ray. This is the most paranoid hotel ever. Don't go near this. If you want a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, The Marco Polo Davao is not the place to be. Because of this paranoia and feeling of insecurity of the hotel in general, the staff is the most unfriendly I have seen. Both check-in and check-out have had some problems. Check-in time was about 30 minutes. The checkout time was about an hour. Seriously? A male uniformed staff got in the lift but did not care to greet the guests inside. In fact, he was the first to get out of the lift. The staff in the buffet and the pool are even worse. They treat you and interrogate you like you are a trespasser. Seriously, stay away from this.…
Stayed x1 night.. an iconic hotel in the heart of Davao. Lots of things to do and stuff to see beyond it’s safe and secured environment. Hotel amenities were definitely world class by themselves. Breakfast buffet was great. I saw most Moslem travelers which you can tell belong to the upper echelons of the Philippine society. Definitely 5 star rated when you’re in Davao. Recommended..
