Chalet looks better on picture than actual with regards to the suites. Quite deceiving so caution those that will choose this hotel. The lobby is about the only area I found accurate to the picture on their website. The front parking is convenient if you can get one. The location is not so central. You need to take a vehicle or taxi to go anywhere. The front desk attendant was helpful at check in but the valet guys showing us that the shower works and the room was all set, sounded not very genuine. . obviously just waiting for their tip. I can't stand these types of people that are just waiting for tips. The washroom was a disaster after telling us all are working fine. There is no hot or warm water in our room. This hotel is cost saving on hot water showers at the backs of its customers. The room was so small and dark. I felt clausterphobic. There wasn't even a small window you can look outside to. The window they have covered opens up to the hotel vents. Yikes keep it close! When the cold shower did not work I requested to be moved to another room and they moved me just down the hall.By the way the shower was just as bad in the 2nd suite. In addition the bidet spray and the toilet bowl are all leaking. So the bathroom floor was constantly wet. I was so exhausted by this time that I didn't bother to be moved again to a 3rd room. The worse part of this room is the air duct noise outside. The air ducts constantly made noise all day and night. The evening lady at the front desk had such an attitude when I requested to be moved to another room I wasn't about to request for a 3rd room. So one would think that breakfast might make up for their horrible rooms and it would have some local fruit. Nope...the breakfast was limited a la carte to half bowl of fried rice, one egg and some slushy cuts of watermelon in a small bowl. The coffee is available at all times but it is so watered down you'd have to drink a lot to get enough caffeine. Please do not stay here. This hotel is over rated and overly priced for what they have to offer. I do not understand the other reviews praising this hotel. I have traveled all over the world from one star to five star hotels and this hotel is definitely not a three star.

Family room in the lower floor is poorly maintained and unhygienic. The bathroom fixtures are rusty, water pressure of the toilet is weak and most disgustingly, we found a dead cockroach underneath the remote control.

Customer service was accommodating enough to move us to another family room, which was cleaner. Although I noticed that the bed sheets felt damp, before and after we slept.

Breakfast buffet was supposed to be included, however we were told that if the volume of guests isn't high enough they will switch to a continental breakfast served by Dulcinea. We later found out that the "buffet" has minimal choices including egg with sardines.

The most disappointing part was that we paid the same amount for the same type of room at a luxury hotel in Manila the next day. I do not recommend this hotel and will not return.

Chalet Hotel is a tiny, pretty hotel in Baguio. A boutique hotel, the room is tiny but tidy. I just used it as a day room to freshen up from my trek from Mt. Pulag. The hot shower is working and breakfast isn’t buffet but plated in from the menu. The selections are largely Filipino but there’s Intercontinental and American too. A hair dryer is available on request, the Wi-Fi is fast. The waitstaff, front desk, housekeeping staff are polite. What I consider as a let down is that used pillows were stacked up on sofa chairs by the elevator. Anywhere I look, on every floor, left or right corridor, there were unattended cart for housekeeping and were unsightly. Otherwise, this would have been a quaint little hotel that lives up to its name as a ‘chalet’.

It's my second visit here in Chalet Baguio, and again its a very relaxing stay 😊The staff are very great & professionally train in their fields ..The rooms its bed & pillows are comfortable , the ambiance the window view in room 502 is very nice & romantic the smell is clean as you entered. The breakfast buffet is very good in terms of taste & serving . This is a very Affordable boutique hotel in baguio , the facility is small but nice & very relaxing mode upon entrance because of the glass wall in the reception which is mountain view & pine trees are cool as you drink unlimited coffee in the hotel lobby while reading newspaper ! Definitely a place thats fits your budget because centrally located a few walk in the left is a japanese buffet restaurant 499 for Eat all u can just 5 min walk, then if you want another budget friendly lunch or snacks that comes in 100 to 120 pesos with big serving continue walking around 10-12 minutes you'll find 50's diner . You will never feel disappointed in your stay here . Cheers 🍾🍷to the Reception staff that are very friendly and accomodating, a very good hotel factor !

Stayed here for 3 nights. Staffs are friendly, accommodating..but if you check in on there superior room which is cheap, it will blow your minds out. The room has these comfy feel that you want to stay forever. Except for the food at breakfast you can always eat at dulcinea.

We stayed here last May 8-11.

Rooms:
1. Small but strategically design for comfort.
2. Complete toiletries.
3. Everyday room make-up
4. Wifi not so strong in our room.

Food:
1. Some of the foods in the menu is not available. (might out of stock?)
2. the food taste ok.
3. it's a bit pricey.
4. buffet breakfast is ok, but limited choices.

Location:
1. From victory liner terminal, you need to take a cab. it will cost you 40 pesos.
2. location is ok not really far in the city area.

Staff:
1. they always smile.
2. they will really attend your needs.
3. they are helpful.

Overall, i could say i will still consider this hotel for my future visits in baguio.

My partner and I went to Baguio for a quick vacation and to have a post midyear celebration. Funny because when we selected this hotel, we weren't even together, she was at home while i was at work and we were just texting. Anyway, we saw this hotel at Asiarooms.com for a good rate, and we decided to immediately book it right then and there. On the way there, we decided to get an upgrade, since a deluxe room has a better view than a standard one.

We got there early, like around 10AM, and since we understood that hotels follow a check-in and check-out schedule, we asked if early check-in can be accommodated, and since the hotel was jampacked, we decided to leave our stuff, and start our Baguio exploration. The receptionist was very nice, and everyone else was ready to assist you, from the guard up to the chambermaids. The hotel itself, when you go up to it, had a very serene and quiet atmosphere, which is what really attracted us to it, since the rest and relaxation was what we were really after. Once you enter the lobby, smell of freshly brewed coffee greeted you, which is heavenly especially in weather that cold...

So when we came back from SM Baguio to finally check-in, we got room 403, which was very convenient since it was just a tumble away from the lobby. We were informed that hot coffee was available 24 hours and can be taken to the room along with anything you order at the resto (which was heavenly since it was Dulcinea and we just adore their Churros!!!!) When we finally got to the room, it was really nice, and had an absolutely BIG window with a view of the trees and mountainside of Baguio city. There was a couch right next to the window which made it perfect if you want picture moments with a nice background . Bed was nicely made and bathroom was spic and span, complete with toiletries and all that.

After a restful night's sleep under thick sheets since we got there with an 8 degree temp, breakfast wowed us the most since we had choices between different types of breakfast (continental, american and pinoy). Of course, we had to pay extra for Churros (who cares, it's very affordable!), but that topped our breakfast off really well. Add the overflowing coffee and everything is excellent.

We stayed there 2 nights and had a fantastic time. Everyone was friendly, and ready to help, no matter what time we needed the assistance. We even got hungry after midnight and had pizza delivered from Volante, and they were really helpful and even allowed the delivery boy to take the food right at our doorstep.

I was reading the other reviews, and found it funny that some others had a bad time at this hotel. Except for the wifi, which had some problems when we were there, i saw nothing bad about this hotel. I guess when you look at things the right way, and you're with the right person, everything else will go the way you want it to. =)

my boyfriend and i wanted to celebrate our anniversary in Baguio and we decided to check-in in this hotel because of the positive reviews.. but when we arrived in the hotel, they gave us a deluxe twin room, contrary to the deluxe double that i reserved 3 weeks ago.. and when i showed them my confirmation showing that we booked for a deluxe double, they just said that there must have been a mistake in the reservations office since both rooms has the same price.. and all the rooms might have been reserved before me.. why post an available room in their website if it is fully booked?!?! after many explanations saying that the reservation office in manila is to blame, we just decided to let it pass since i think nothing will happen even if i rant..

when we arrived in the room.. i noticed that the remote control for the t.v. is missing..! the staff said they will look for a replacement but they never did, not even a feedback or apology or something.. and their breakfast buffet..? i don't know about others but for me a plain rice, longganisa and hard boiled egg doesn't really count as a buffet meal to me.. and to add in my list, our hotel card keeps on malfunctioning that we have to re-validate it.. twice!

we might consider in returning to Baguio.. but we will never stay in this hotel again..

Overall enjoyed our stay. A bit of hiccup with some items due to management policy but the staff's good customer service made up for it.

PROs
1) Charming and modern B&B -- love the feel of the place. unique and pleasant modern decors.

2) Great customer service -- courteous, friendly, and not overbearing

3) Good location -- about 15-20mins walking distance to SM Baguio and about 10mins walking distance to the bus terminal (Victory Liner)

4) Cozy restaurant with a view -- I think this is the Dulcinea with the best view.=) they also have portioned cakes and pastries at reasonable prices.

5) Free wifi in the room -- nice add on!

CONs
1) extra charge for checking in early -- first time I had to pay for early check-in (30% of my room rate) despite explaining that we were leaving early. just didn't make sense especially if they allow late check-outs. management should revisit this policy and abolish.

2) extra charge for a face towel -- they can provide for free use of slippers and free newspapers but can't for a face towel? again, didn't make sense. management hopefully looks into this as well. it's not really much in terms of value but it's just a bit annoying to be charged bits and pieces. So, either provide for free or don't provide at all.

3) Funky smell in the shower (hence the low rating on cleanliness) -- not sure why but whenever we use the shower, the drainage lets out a funky odor. Maybe they need to deodorize.
