We stayed at titilaka for 6 nights. The lodge is beautiful, lake titicaca is wonderful, the staff is amazingly helpful - kindly and flexible. They are alert to any altitude problems and quick to supply oxygen if needed. The food and drink are delicious and generous. The guides, vans, drivers, boats and so forth are prompt and flawless. Titilaka is where you go when you want to get away from everything. Sure, it's pretty remote -- a 2 hour drive from the Juliaca airport. But it's absolutely worth the trip (especially in a pretty swanky van, with wifi even). The setting is absolutely gorgeous and the excursions are so well done. Be sure to go to the Floating... More

All I can say is wow! From the moment that we were picked up by the hotel at the airport in Juliaca to our departure, this hotel was simply magical. The hotel picked us up in a luxury van that was Wi-FI enabled. In addition the hotel representative measured our oxygen level when we arrived to ensure we were adequately... More

If you are looking for somewhere to go that provides peace and tranquility then this would fit the bill. Personally I found it too remote. Sadly the altitude made me a little unwell so I couldn't participate in the boat trip to the islands. The hotel is most unattractive on the outside and I felt could do with a little... More

These guys provide great service and the lodge is lovely. We were met off the Andean Explorer train. Their minibus was parked outside the station entrance and we were immediately greeted with cold towels and water. The van has wifi which is a nice thought. On the one hour drive to the hotel we discussed our stay and by the... More

This is an expensive but luxurious hotel where everything is included so that needs to be considered; transfers from/to airport/Puno train station, excursions, food, drink, water, mini bar, printing boarding passes .... It is about an hour's drive from Puno so two hour's from Juliaca airport. However they have their own minibuses which are very comfortable and supply water and... More

What to say about this place. From the moment you arrive you feel at home. Staff is very friendly and speaks good English. The food is fantastic, the wine very nice, the Pisco Sours wow. The excursions are all spot on with very good guides. We did the bike tour the second day. It was so cool, with a great... More

Nothing is too much trouble and they do everything to make your stay memorable. The food is first class and Edgar runs a beautiful restaurant. Our guide... More

This hotel is right on the lake and one hour from Puno-you are in the country side of Peru with women in native dress herding their sheep, men hand tilling their garden and the beauty of this isolated gem of a hotel. What may seem like an expensive rate is really so reasonable considering the hotel drives you to and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Infinite skies, snowcapped peaks and limitless shimmering waters will be your companions at this luxury lodge on a remote, private peninsula on the shores of Lake Titicaca. All 18 rooms look out on to the mystical Andean lake, birthplace of the fabled Inca Empire and still home to some of Peru’s farthest-flung communities, many of whom benefit from our operations. Responsible, sustainable development is at the heart of Titilaka’s philosophy; more than 90% of staff are locals and we source food locally as much as possible, while our business model focuses on conserving Andean traditions. Sunsets and the star-speckled night sky here are once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Daytime activities range from exploring Inca and pre-Inca ruins, to visiting the floating reed islands of the Uros people, to leisurely hiking or biking through stunning Andean scenery. The lodge has a sophisticated modern touch and, with its sensational Peruvian cuisine, is the perfect place to relax at the end of the day. ... more   less
