We spent a week at Suasi in June (2016), and as lovely as the location is—a private island on Lake Titicaca—the service (with the endless corner-cutting and skimping) and the ecological ethos it claims, yet fails, to fully embrace are simply not worth the comparatively hefty price we paid. The Cons Drinking Water. As mentioned in many reviews, the bottled... More

We went to the island for one night. On the way there, we visited uros and taquille which are very touristy. The views are amazing on Suasi. The rooms are big, beds are comfortable. Food is average, the hotel does not offer fresh water. Pepe is great. However, the receptionnist is not sympathic at all. We seem to be disturbing... More

In total, for a 2 night stay for 2 travelers, we spent over $900 USD on Isla Suasi Hotel. (This includes the $300 USD round trip cost of transportation via boat to and from the hotel for 2 people). Out of all of the places we stayed during our 16 day exploration of Peru, this was by far the most... More

Overall this was a poor experience. Despite being billed as a luxury ecolodge, I get the feeling that it is purely a marketing ploy. It was the most expensive hotel of my Peru trip and the least friendly and generous. The hotel is the first after two weeks in Peru that didn't offer water to guests for free and charge... More

After spending 4 nights trekking the inca trail in the cold with no showers or toilets sleeping in tents with every layer of clothes still on, this lodge was such a treat! So relaxing and peaceful to stay on this little island in Lake Titicaca. Each night someone would come and light the fire in your room and place a... More

We absolutely loved Suasi! The hotel, the stunning views, the warmth of the staff, specially Martha, the owner! They make you feel at home! I still day dream of those amazing views, tranquility and beauty! Exploring the island with its flora and fauna is amazing as well!

It was the end of a busy two week trip through Peru - so this was exactly what the doctor ordered: gorgeous views and laying around in hammocks reading (the altitude is really quite something). Wonderful hike to watch the sunset - and there were a few other activities on offer. The whole place was practically empty when we were... More

I looked forward to our stay on Suasi Island throughout our trip to Peru. We had booked the trip through a travel company that included stops at the Uros floating islands, Taquille, and our meals on the island. Upon arriving at the hotel, you could tell that there was a lot of care being put into the grounds with flowering... More

This was a wonderful experience altogether; the Titicaca Lake is beautiful, and the hotel in the Suasi Island is spectacular!!! This environmentally friendly hotel is a wonderful place to feel nature at its best. The rooms are great with excellent views of the lake and the service is first rate. I recommend the hotel specially if you want to relax... More

We spent one night on Isla Suasi as part of a tour including a visit on the Uros floating islands and the Isla Taquile. After Taquile we were informed that the waves were to big to proceed to la Isla Suasi by boat, so we had to come back to Puno and embark on a 3 hours journey on a... More
