Staff were caring and the view of the sunrise and the lake was amazing with a last minute booking. Its breakfast just need beacon ;) Great place to stay for couples and families. Small park for walking.
Bad experience and overpriced hotel. We stayed here for two nights, and it was the worst nights during our trip in Peru, due to the room was frozen. They don’t have heating in the rooms and they provide heaters that doesn’t have enough capacity so it’s imposible to warm the rooms. The staff was regular, not as friendly as the experience we had in Cusco or Sacred Valley. The breakfast is regular, the taste of the coffee is not good. We asked to the hotel for help to get a taxi to go the airport, and we need to call the reception at least 3 times due to they forget to call us back. I’m not recommended this hotel, if you want to come to Puno I suggested to choose another hotel for this price.
Expensive and bad hotel. We paid 377 soles/night (around 100 USD), what is really overpriced for this hotel. The hotel has no heating integrated in the rooms, so they give you a portable oil heating. When we arrived the room was frozen, and with this heating is imposible to heat up the room. We needed to ask for another one. The room is renewed and cute, that’s the best part of the stay. The toilet is really cold so we needed to close the door and freeze when we went into it. Breakfast also bad. We took a tour, and it was very expensive for the service and tour done. 3 hour tour to UROS was more expensive than 1 full day tour in Cusco to Humantay or 7 colours mountain. For finishing the stay, we ask the hotel for a taxi to Juliaca Airport and for 90 soles they gave us the worst and oldest taxi ever. Our luggage didn’t fit into the trunk. If you come to Puno, stay at GHL, just in front of this hotel. At the end of the stay…
XIMA hotel was okay considering the location in Puno, very quiet. I do acknowledge though that the staff were very helpful especially Johann, he was extremely friendly, very hard working, went over and beyond to make us feel at home. If you're looking for a place just to sleep in, Xima is the one place.
Our family stayed for 2 nights , the front desk staff was Extremely friendly and helpful and we used the laundry service and it was quick and expedient. We also ate at the restaurant for dinner and at the morning buffets, A special thanks especially to David in the restaurant. His service , expedience and friendliness was exceptional!!
Very nice hotel located about 10 minutes from city center. Clean, well lit, great staff. Rooms are clean, well decorated, roomy and bathrooms are a nice size. Ñ The restaurant serves really good food and the wait staff is very formal and attentive. Had one issue with the restaurant. I ordered a club sandwich, but it was served without a key ingredient…bacon. I brought this to there attention and they said they had run out. Which is fine…I understand these things happen, but I should’ve been told prior to them serving me the sandwich so I could decide whether I still wanted the sandwich. I brought this up to the head waiter after we finished and expressed my dissatisfaction. He apologized and offered me something to make up for the mistake. I refused because I didn’t want anything…I just wanted to bring to their attention so it doesn’t happen to another customer. We left very happy with the hotel.…
We enjoyed our stay here! The bartender was great and made us Mojito‘s. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was really good! We also had breakfast at the hotel and this was good as well. I believe you can see the lake from every room which was also very nice.
Decent 3-star hotel located on the periphery of town Puno on the share of the Titicaca lake. I would highlight dinner as well as breakfast offer. On the other hand wi-fi connection was limited and we have found more deficiences in the bathroom as well.
Rooms were big and clean, but the ones facing the street also have the trains going by, so if you stay request a room on the back side of the hotel Restaurant was average, we opted here for dinner as we didn’t feel well. It was fine but nothing to write home about. Staff English was limited, so if you are relying on English for communication be prepared for a bit of a challenge
The hotel is average, but clean. There is a heater in a room and extra blankets in case it gets cold. I did not much enjoy the food in the restaurant, but breakfast was good. The view from the room was to lake Titikaka, and it was nice to see sunrise in the mornings over the lake.
