Staff here were helpful and informative. The hotel is located 2 blocks from the town's Plaza de Armas, as well as only 2 blocks from Lima, the town's pedestrian street. Rooms are comfortable with nice bathrooms and beds are comfortable. The hotel's restaurant has views of Lake Titicaca. Rooms on the 5th floor (below the restaurant) are LOUD.

Stayed for 2 nights with my family...nobody had any complaints. There was some street noise at night...but when a Peruvian has a big loudspeaker attached to his car and is screaming advertising in Spanish -- what hotel room would not hear it. That's Peru. If you are worried about it, request a room not over the streets (at any hotel)....

If you are going to Puno, you should certainly consider La Hacienda Hotel for your stay. My wife and I just got back from a vacation in Peru with stops in Lima, Cusco, Puno, and Nasca. This hotel provided the best accomodations and service compared with all other places we stayed. The room was large with a indoor balcony, one...

Stayed at La Hacienda during a three-day excursion to Puno. The hotel was clean and modernized. The rooms although small offered comfortable beds, nice linens and a new tile bathroom. One comment is that most windows in Peru do not fit snuggly nor do the walls offer insulation so noise will be an issue everywhere you go. This hotel is...

I stayed in this hotel for two nights as part of a tour arranged by EnjoyPeru.com while on a five day tour of Lake Titicaca, featuring both Bolivia and Peru. Out of a six week tour of South America (Peru, Bolivia, Rio/Iguassu, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Patagonia and Uruguay, my hotel room was the most claustrophobic of all! My window overlooked...

We stayed two nights at La Hacienda Hotel in Puno. The room was clean and above average, good lighting, TV, and the best bathroom throughout our 2 week stay in Peru - spacious and looking fairly new. The breakfast was a nice spread and the dining area was fairly large. It was close to the main pedestrian shopping area. A...

After the hotel we had just left (Hotel Italia) this place was a blessing. The hotel staff were really friendly and assisted in helping us practice spanish while they practiced English. The first room we saw over looked a busy street so we asked for another one. This had virtually no street noise, however it was below the kitchen on...

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour. We requested a room away from the street as a result of other hotels we stayed at in Peru. I'm sure the traffic would have kept us away if we had a room facing the street. The room was a little tight, but that's nothing to complain about since we...

The room was reasonable, but like most hotels in Peru, overlooked a loud and busy road and had windows that did not fit. Breakfast was no worse than anywhere else (ham and cheese sandwiches, dubious fruit and utterly disgusting coffee). However, on checkout, despite being told, "we only accept Visa", the three Visa cards I owned would not work, and...
