Manuelita, the owner and receptionist, was extremely friendly and welcoming. When we arrived she showed us many places to eat at the center, including a divine bakery. The view in our room was beautiful, overlooking Lake Titicaca and the city below. The room itself was clean and well-kept. They tidy up the room when we are out during the day.... More

Very friendly women, can organise early check in, organise a cab to go to lake Titicaca and then to the bus terminal... Oh yes and whilst on a Titicaca tour they can hold your bags behind reception and even reduce weight in your bags for you by removing items such as perfumes and jewelry!.... We discovered the missing items whilst... More

What a disaster! I made the mistake of complaining at reception that the hot water and wifi were not working. Manuelita did not believe me and demanded to speak to my mother who was sleeping. Manuelita actually went upstairs, pushed past me and woke up my mother to tell her I was wrong! (I'm nearly 40 years old by the... More

Lovely receptionist who was more than happy to help us. Great veiw - we had a double room on level 4 overlooking the city and lake. Close enough to walk into the centre square and Lima Street (although it's a tough hill to walk back up again!) breakfast supplied as well.

The hotel is quite far from the lake, but just few blocks away from the city square. The staff is very nice and friendly. The rooms are cosy and clean and some of them have nice view on the lake. The only minor problem is the wifi connection which can be very poor if many guests use it at the... More

Echoing what others have mentioned in the review, I interacted both with Manuelita and her daughter who speaks good English. They were both very helpful in assisting us with booking of tours and taxis. As a rule, it is about 5 soles to the bus terminal, same for the other way round and from plaza de Armas about 3 soles.-I... More

I would not recommend staying here. It's far away from the center, has no view, there were loud packs of dogs wandering the street at night, loud construction during the day, and no running water. O ya, and she'll just keep your change if she feels entitled to it. Find a hotel closer to town, it's work the extra money.... More

The proprietor of La Casa de Manuelita, Pilar, is the most warm hearted woman in all of Puno. She's enthusiastic and goes way out of her way to make sure that her guests get what they need, from suggestions on places to go to making sure the utilities were working well. Pilar even personally went up onto the roof to... More

Extremely friendly owner, she did her best to make us feel at home and help us out despite the language barrier - we used Google translate quite frequently! The room was very clean and towels were provided. The room was also cleaned during the day while we were out. She kept our bags safe for us while we did an... More

Manuelita is a very nice lady with a nice hotel. The location is only 3 blocks from the plaza de amas. There are plenty of great restaurants and things to see close. She will also help you book your tours of the lake. I recommend this place as a comfortable place to sleep and place your bags. Shower water was... More
