Very friendly staff here & comfy beds. But it seems the hotel is either short-staffed or very disorganised. We arrived at 6pm and our room still wasn't ready. Once we finally got in (30 mins later) the bathroom still hadn't been cleaned properly - rags and a dirty scrunchie left behind in the shower, but worst - the toilet bin...

We enjoyed our stay at the Tawantinsuyu Inn, mainly because of the excellent staff who went way above and beyond to take care of us. The breakfast was great, the room was always clean, and the staff helped us find a lost camera - at the bus station!! Margarita especially made our stay great! The only downside was the noisy...

The hotel is pretty basic: clean rooms, simple (but good) breakfast, hot water, and free electric heater that mostly worked fine. Nothing special but everything we needed. What distinguishes Tawantinsuyu as a great hotel is their staff. When protests blocked the highway to Cusco, they let us stay in our room for free, called all the bus companies, and very...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights after visiting Colca Canyon. The location is just down the street from a pedestrian only area which has banks, shops, tour companies, and restaurants and its only another block or two from the main square as well. The rooms are nothing special but for what your are paying you are truyly...

I arrived in Puno after an exhausting day traveling from Chivay after doing the Colca Trek. The family was wonderful and arranged a next day tour for me, at Uros and Taquile island, which was only 35 soles and very fair. They were helpful in directing me on where to find a bus ticket, and where to find items that...

Not a bad choice as hostels go. Good points include friendly staff, internet access (although very slow), cable TV, simple breakfast and heating. Bad points include extremely uncomfortable pillows, no soap in the bathroom and tepid shower that took five minutes to go from very cold to slightly warm. Wouldn't recomend to my parents, but for a friend on a...

We stayed for 4 nights and were completely satisfied with the place... We´re fairly picky too (especially for backpackers)! The location is perfect and the price can´t be argued with!

The hostal is located on Avenida Los Incas and is easy to walk to the main plaza and pedestrianised areas of Puno. The rooms are basic but clean and heaters are included in the price you pay (30$ for private double). Cable TV is also included as is internet (crawls though). Breakfast is included.

Good value for the price you pay. The hostel is near one of the main squares, Parque Pino, and near the main shopping street. The rooms are big, the bed and shower are good. Cable television with english spoken programs is available. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Summarized a very good place to stay.
