We started and ended our trip to the Peruvian Amazon at this hotel. It had comfortable rooms, a small pool, and a pleasant eating area. The staff were very helpful. You can buy a few basic essentials if you're going into the Amazon region--insect repellent, flashlights, plastic ponchos, etc. The shower was a little unpredictable--took a long time for the...

I spent close to a week at Wasaí Eco Lodge in Puerto Maldonado and had a wonderful experience. The lodge has a fantastic outdoor lounge overlooking the river and set amongst jungle foliage. The restaurant serves the best food I had in town and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Mario the owner was so accommodating and took me...

Wonderful staff that bent over backwards to accommodate the needs and wishes of guests. Great array of services including a pool, outdoor dining deck and dock with tour boats for a variety of excursions, all booked through the lodge. Incredible that out the front door we were one block from the Plaza de Armas, restaurants, shops and bars, and through...

The lodge is well located only a block away from the central plaza area. The rooms are a good size and very comfortable. Plenty of hot water and ceiling fans to help keep cool. There is a nice pool in an area overlooking the river and bridge. The food was quite good (3 course meals) and a relaxing waiting area....

My boyfriend and I were looking for a hotel in the city after arriving to a not so great lodge. As soon as we saw the view we wanted to stay there. This hotel is in the city, even though it says its an ecolodge. The look is that of an ecolodge but rooms have a AC and our room...

The name conjures up a jungle experience , but this lodge is in town, on the banks of the river , with a busy road out front , and wooded grounds leading steeply to the river. There were a few bungalows in the grounds but most rooms were in a modern motel block overlooking a police parking lot. We did...

Pros: We were coming back from a 6 day adventure deep in the jungle and very much enjoyed our night here after roughing it for several days. We were able to relax by the swimming pool and have a nice cold drink. Breakfast was good (fruit, juice, yogurt, granola, eggs, coffee etc...). Service was OK - we were able to...
