We stayed at the Inkaterra Machu Picchu which exceeded all expectations so were very excited about our stay at Reserva Amazonica. However we were severely disappointed. The resort itself is ok, but the food was atrocious in quality with very little choice. Having eaten at the Burgos in Puerto Maldonado and had a superb meal the argument of quality ingredients... Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay. Our property is located 45 minutes by boat from the city of Puerto Maldonado in order to provide an authentic natural experience. It is important to keep in mind when visiting the rainforest, that it is an open system where many species co-exist. The Amazon has abundant... More

My husband and I were there last week and had a wonderful time! We were greeted by a cheery hostess immediately when we arrived at the airport. We were taken in a "jungle" vehicle to a beautiful building with an attached Butterfly house. After having a refreshing juice and filling out papers we got in a boat and were whisked... More

If you are visiting the jungle in the lower Peruvian Amazonian basin, then try Inkaterra Amazonica Lodge. It is a bio-friendly resort who source locally from jungle families, are keen on operating within nature for all that they do and it works. We had a first class visit with our own bungalow, eating meals in the main reception center and... More

We spent 2 nights, 3 days at Inketterra Amazonia, we really needed another night but somehow we pushed ourselves and fitted the excursions in that we wanted to do. Lissabeth picked us up from airport and looked after us for next 3 days dropping us back to airport. The resort is about an hour down the river. Elias was our... More

After spending two nights at the Hacienda Concepcion, this was a slightly less spectacular stay. The resort is bigger and there was a large group who arrived later on the day we arrived. Their "exuberance" made our stay less enjoyable and resort staff were so busy tending to them that the other guests were at a disadvantage. Food tends to... More

Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica gave us an awesome rainforest feel. The food they provided For each meal was delicious. I did have to mention the routine scheduled absence of electricity without back up in the middle of the night which gave us some discomfort. But the suite, the activities and it's location in the rainforest were all excellent.

We recently returned from this resort at the end of December 2013. The property itself is incredible, set amidst the Peruvian side of the Amazon. The individual cabins are incredibly clean and well appointed. The style is typical rustic lodge. We had two cabins adjacent to each other, one for myself and my husband and the other for our three children.... More

Oscar was our guide from inkaterra and seemed like he was more interested in surfing on his phone internet than guiding us through the amazon rainforest. He did not seem to be interested in his job. He took us for a jungle trek and morning boat ride. On the way back, he spoke to us constantly instead of showing us... More

My family and I visited the lodge and had a wonderful experience! The food was phenomenal, the guides were excellent and extremely knowledgeable. We have also been to Iquitos and the two don't compare. Iquitos is like a petting zoo, while Puerto Maldanado is unspoiled and you see tons of animals in their natural habitat.

Totally shocked by quality of accommodation. It was amazing. we were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. the spa is great at the end of a long day. Food beautiful but the trip is made so special by the guides, who bring the forest alive for you.. a truly wonderful experience.
