It was an adventure. Huts aren't waterproof, it rained all night my next to bed was all wet thankfully I just had drops into my feet then managed to sleep sideways but still some water came through and everything was humid. I should of prepared for rain too evendough the day was beautiful but not the next day that was... More

First, this really is basic camping on an island. The huts are not wind, sound or rain proof. The floors are sand (and it will be in your bed), and you might have to ask for a lantern if you don't have a light. The bathrooms are disturbing at first (the owners don't tell you that you need to pour... More

The place is absolutely lovely and it warrants a visit. The staff is friendly and helpful. However i would not stay here for more than 1 night . We stayed for 2 and felt the costs of $90/person/day was excessive and it did not match the servoce provided: 1) bedding: matresses are very old and piled on top of even... More

Summary: rustic and primitive, yet pricey stay in a stunning Caribbean island belonging to one of the most interesting indigenous cultures of Central America. Definitely a must for any visit to Panama, but only for a couple of nights. Details: Travel: be ready for a long trip from Panama City. We had a scheduled pick up time at 5:30 am,... More

We went there thinking about spending a few days for a nice relaxing close-to-nature retreat. We even thought it would be refreshing to do it Robinson Crusoe style. Unfortunately, we clashed with the sad reality that the Kuna family that runs Kuanidup is basically only after money and cares very little about people enjoying their stay. We had purchased a... What a place. This is what you think of when you picture yourself in a secluded island in the middle of the Caribbean. White sand, crystal clear pool-like water, hammocks, friendly staff, clean bungalow (sand floor) with relatively comfortable beds. My only tip is to know what to expect. This is not a 4-star hotel, but it is more than... More

Very relaxing weekend food was ok accommodation barely passable bathrooms yuck - beaches are great fine sand and clear water - although that is true for all the islands Getting there is easy but takes a while due to a number of check points along the way Would do the San blas again but not on this island

After reading countless posts, blogs and websites in preparation for our trip to San Blas, I found very little information to be accurate in comparison to what we actually encountered during our 3-night visit to Guanidup (often listed online as Kuanidup) island, thus, a full overview of our FANTASTIC experience at Guanidup follows. We travelled from Panama City to the... More

For almost every island they brought us they charged us between 2 and 6$. Also check the weather or talk to other guestes what... More

I've been raving about this trip since returning a week ago, so thought I'd share the love. It's funny reading different reviews, as some people seem to have gone with mad expectations. This is a tiny island - 12 huts - and they're basic...like really basic - think walls made of sticks with gaps in between. But you're not there... More
