Very nice and affordable inn about a 30 min walk from town. Doable, though less so when it rains. Staff will call/arrange a taxi when needed, which costs about $3-4.

We liked having the kitchenette and extra space to hang out on rainy days.

Breakfast included local coffee, fruit smoothies, fresh fruit, dry cereal if you like, and a choice of 5 warm dishes that changed daily. Variety of birds feeding nearby.

The best thing about this place is Rebecca, she is the assistant manager who helped arrange all of the tours we had interest in doing well in Boquete. Her speed and efficiency were amazing and really stood out compare to other service professionals we encountered during our whole two weeks in Panama. She told me she gets a lot of joy by personally helping tourists have a worry free and memorable trip. I hope the owner knows how lucky he is to have someone like her on staff.

I would stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

Loved loved loved how accommodating every member of the staff is. The rooms were outfitted with a microwaves
, dishes, refrigerator, dehumidifier, hair dryer, but no iron. The water was always hot and towels were abundant. Rooms were kept clean, and whatever we needed it was just a request away. Rebecca is super knowledgeable, Gade is dining recommendations, maps, coupons, and even helped out when I needed assistance with an uncomfortable ear ache that presented itself. These guys have a great formula for service. I plan on bringing my family here in the near future. The grounds were beautifully kept and bird watching in the morning was a real treat after breakfast. I’ll be back.

Spent 3 nights at the Boquete Garden Inn. The grounds, the rooms and friendly, accommodating staff (plus great breakfast, and a fun social hour) made our stay here a memorable part of our time in Panama.
The location is a bit of a walk to town, but a quick cab ride. Rebecca and Abel were excellent hosts. They would order cabs for us at specified times, welcomed us at the social hour, and were able to assist with the many questions we had about getting around and exploring Boquete.
The rooms are very nice and spacious. We stayed in two different rooms, both were interesting, open floor plans with living areas that you could spend a lot of time inside of. The kitchenettes were also large, clean and well equipped.
Breakfast is very good, you choose your dish out of several options. I recall the tortillas being very enjoyable with fried eggs. Breakfast also involves a self-serve area, with granola, cereal, smoothies, coffee, and ice water. The ice water was very useful and we were able to fill our bottles before a long hike. An added bonus is that while you have breakfast, you will observe (for extended periods of time) dozens of brightly coloured bird species less than 10ft away from you, pecking away at the trimmings from the morning’s freshly cut fruit.
When we had an early departure, we asked for the Breakfast-to-Go option, and Rebecca handed us later that evening a very hearty breakfast that would be perfect for a day of adventuring in Boquete.
TV worked great, shower nice.

I travelled with my mother(82yrs), wife and daughter to the beautiful town of Boquete. We had difficulties communicating with the hotel for making our reservations for two cabins, my wife wanted to scrap the idea totally but because it had such excellent reviews I was persistent with making reservations. We called before we arrived and upon arrival at 4pm there was no hotel staff to accept us except for a cleaning woman we found working on property at the time. She was able to find keys for our cabins. The walking grounds of this property is uneven and all paths are grey rocks which was treacherous for an older person. You cannot roll luggage either. When my wife and I entered our room is was poorly cleaned. Toothpaste residue was on the bathroom mirror and there was old Kentucky fried chicken apple pies still in the microwave oven. The window screens were torn so we had to keep the window closed in a hot room. We also had an ant trail from the front door to the bathroom.
My daughter and my mother's room had a big ant issue. When my mother laid down on the bed from a long travel day we had, she started to feel something biting her. There were ants all on her bed that were biting her. We notified the cleaning staff and they said its just that time of year when we have ants. Ants are always in Panama. But, ants are not supposed to be all over your room and in your bed. We told them that ants all over the rooms is not acceptable.

We immediately left this property and we fortunate to find a much better place on short notice because we are familiar with the Boquete area. But, we had to pay top dollar on such short notice. So our vacation to Boquete was not ruined. I had to write this review to warn others...NO onsite staff, POOR Cleaning, Ants all over inside the cabins..BEWARE!

Boquete is marvelous city to visit. Nice weather, flowers, strawberries, birds you feel as it is in the mountains. The hotel is a little far form downtown Boquete but it is a nice complex. You actually feel that you are hosted in a garden were maybe 7 two stories buildings each with ample clean and well decorated room. The rooms either have a terrace or a balcony. As you enter the room you are received with easy listening music that gives a nice mood. The rooms are equipped with bigger than usual refrigerator with freezer a microwave and a sink so if you have a special diet you may bring your food store it in the fridge or freezer and have means to heat it up and wash dishes. We noticed that some rooms have full refrigerator and even a stove to cook. Around the hotel reception desk there is a open area surrounded by nature trees flowers birds where they serve breakfast every morning. They have a daily fixed menu accompanied of fresh fruits and a mix fruits juice. At night if you wish you can heat up your meal and you are welcomed to use the tables of this open area to seat down relax and eat your meals. There is no service at night but you are allowed to use the area. If it is raining you need to bring umbrellas since it is an open garden with walkways to the room complex but it is a garden open air beautiful if not raining umbrella if it rains. The staff is friendly and always ready to help with any issue. They are building a whirlpool and a stay and relax area near the river that surrounds the back of te property. The sound of river water running adds to ambiance. It is a beautiful place to stay and relax

We stayed here June 4-6/2021 The room was so beautiful and open and spacious and decorated beautifully. The provence it is in Chiriqui had a lockdown from Saturday 10pm to Monday 4am so we were locked in and could not leave the property and I tell you if you had to locked down anywhere this is the place to be locked. The grounds are beautifully manicured with little nooks with comfortable places to sit there is hammocks and hanging chairs here and there and the birds are in abundance and the sound of the river that runs behind the property was tranquil sounding. I would reccommend this place to anyone without hesitation. Our room was the Blue-Gray Tanager 6B, such a beautiful room and it has a porch that goes on 2 sides of the room and it just feels so open!

Situated on the edge of town approx 30-45 minute walk away this lovely boutique accommodation offers peace and quiet. We stayed in Room 7a that is on the edge of the property with no one above or below. The room was spacious and modern, large bed, seating area, small but well equipped kitchenette and a modern bathroom. Large TV if required with Netflix.
All staff were lovely and nothing seemed like it would be too much trouble. We were helped with printing documents for our onward travel.
Breakfasts were great including fruit, juice and something cooked. Because of COVID there is not a buffet service and the bar area is currently closed so there is nowhere on site to get a beverage that I’m aware of but that helps make the place especially
peaceful.
At breakfast the fruit trimmings are used to feed the birds and there is a spectacular range of colourful birds easy to see.
We walked into and out of town but the taxis are cheap. $4-5.
If you don’t want to go into town the nearest restaurant Is The Rock, 10-15 minute walk. Very modern, great food and service. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Well worth a visit.

Lovely hotel.
This is a boutique hotel/b and b/inn style hotel.
It’s a little out of town so if you don’t have a car or in less you want to walk into town then this would not be suitable as taxis in the evening are virtually non existent.
On the road to Palo Alto a few miles out of town you see a white picket fence with a pedestrian gate. There are about 10 parking spaces on the road for visitors.
The buildings are 2 stories high. We had 2a (double and single) and the luxury double 6a both on ground floor. It was as a large room with a sofa. The rooms have dehumidifiers in every room. This is amazing (but you do need to empty them regularly to keep them working). This means that everything you put in the cupboard is dry really quickly including trainers (if you’ve been white water rafting) etc. We had so many wet clothes from storm Franklin that this was a life saver. They also do washing for a reasonable $7.50 a bag or individual items for a price.
The bathroom was nice and we always had hot water.
The kitchen had enough for us (but we didn’t really do much more than prepare a mango).
The gardens are lovely. Loads of areas to sit and relax or get in a hammock. The jacuzzi was lovely and huge.
The breakfast was nice and seems to change daily and they put food on the bird feeders next to the tables so you can watch the birds have their breakfast.
The bar is open 6-7pm and you get a free welcome drink.
Reception is where you have breakfast (covered patio) and is often unmanned but they are highly responsive by WhatsApp and email. Staff are friendly.
For the price this was a lovely simple place to stay.

Stayed two nights in February 2022.

There is no dearth of places to stay in and around boquete. The Boquete Garden Inn is a good choice, especially if birds and flowers make you happy. There are a plethora of both here.

Rooms are clean, comfortable and meet traveler needs. Most accommodations are in two story structures, one atop the other (fyi to those with mobility issues). Wifi is free and good. The property is large and descends gradually downward to the river. Those with mobility issues will want to request a room at front of property.

Included breakfast is decent enough. The lack of a restaurant on the property means venturing out at night for dinner, not ideal. The gardens are lively, and the birds wonderful. That’s the payoff.

We went for a 7 days stay to Boquete and we really needed a place that was more than just a room. We made a great selection in my opinion. We had no car and did not plan anything prior to our arrival. Once we got in contact with the staff prior to arrival (they were initially not that responsive) they were very very helpful in all aspects. They helped us out with airport transfers from David to the Hotel and helped us plan all other activities in the area. Also they pointed out some good dining options in town.
Hotel location is great outside town in a quiet area. We walked everyday to town for dinner which is 25/40 min walk(depends where you are heading). Coming back we always made use of a taxi 3-5 US$.
We had a studio with a full kitchen/dining/living area and a seperate bedroom. Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable.
Garden of the Hotel was very nice lots of birds and flowers. We had morning activities each day and spent the afternoons before dinner at the hotel mostly sitting in our terrace or in the garden.
Breakfast is included and is good. Each day selection of a couple of items.
All by all great stay and if we are back in boquete we will stay there again.

I don’t believe so. But I recommend you contact the Boquete Garden Inn directly.

The base of Volcan Baru is about a 20-25 minute drive from downtown Boquete. The climb, depending on your speed/condition, takes anywhere from 4-6 hours to ascend, and the same amount of to get down. So with climbing time and recovery time, it takes pretty much a full day out of your schedule. End of November can still be rainy up there, so a guide is definitely recommended. If you are specifically looking to climb Baru, that's one thing. But if you are just interested in hiking generally, there are other, better trails that are easier to access, less strenuous and won't take so much time out of your stay: The Lost Waterfalls, The Waterfall trail, The Quetzal Trail.

From Boquete you can scuba or snorkel in Boca Chica which is on the Pacific coast and about one hour from the hotel. The hotel can arrange a day trip there, just ask them.
Answer from Tomas316

Well, that was a quirk about the Boquete Garden Inn. We had to pay them entirely in cash. I don't know why. It was rather inconvenient to do this. One thing to watch out for is that many U.S. banks have an ATM foreign withdrawal fee. Having to pay in cash was almost a deal breaker for me. But it all worked out really well for us. Don't know about taxis We rented a car from Avis. They were the only car rental in the David Airport. I was not happy with the Avis rental. Car rental companies can be pretty slimy in the U.S. In Panama it is even worse.
