Panamanian hospitality at its best. Excellent rooms, spacious and very well maintained. And the restaurant and the whole ambience is a poem. One should definitely enjoy a dinner by the fireplace. Perfect food and perfect service and also perfect wine and drinks. Here there is absolutely nothing to complain about only the request to continue everything like this. Thank you for your hospitality
One of our family members is a vegan, she asked for eggs, they came with ham even if the menu didn’t say anything about it. They removed it and bring them back. Half of the ham was there still. They refused to re do them. Service was very inefficient and the waiters often talked very hard to us, even if we were right. Food was ok, but very easy to find somewhere else with a better service, nothing outstanding, honestly if you can go anywhere else I strongly recommend it.
Thanks to the awesome crew at Panamonte that set up an awe inspired dinner for my 43rd Anniversary, Dinner Wine, Rum and the service was attentive..Lelis was instrumental at getting my flowers and the table ready for a surprised dinner for my wife
We spent New Years at the Hotel, and found the service to exceed that found in Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton properties…. The food was also outstanding, with the Chef/owner of the property, who lives on premises, very attentive to details….(he had previously built an outstanding reputation in the catering business)….the hotel is set in the mountains of Western Panamá, where the air is pristine, as are the condition of the rooms and public areas…the bar features two lovely fireplaces, giving an emotional, as well as a physical, warmth to the hotel…I can truly recommend this experience…
At this very moment my wife and I are staying in this hotel… we checked in today and so far we had three issues of concern. The third issue is the most appalling this far. The hot water is not functioning… usually it wouldn’t be a big deal but in this case it is, simply because here in Boquete, Chiriqui the temperature climate is cold therefore the water is “freezing”. After calling the front desk and waiting 24 minutes for a maintenance person to knock at our room door I decided to call the front desk again… after dialing both front desk numbers and not getting no one to pick up the phone I decided to put on some clothes and calmly make my way to the front desk area. Upon arriving I was warmly greeted and informed that earlier in the day there were some issues and it appears that someone forgotten to turn on a valve… well, supposedly the manager, Mrs. Doris, of the hotel was contacted at home and at this moment, an hour later, no one seems to know how to resolve the issue. Well, for some individuals, not showering may not be a big issue but after a day of touring and activities my wife and I need to shower. It’s not a matter of comfort, it’s a matter of hygiene. Also the fact that we are charged the same rate as others for the same level of service yet not revive it is another big issue for me. What I can’t accept is the fact that an issue was discovered earlier in the day and no one cared to forewarned us or make the proper adjustments. Now the manager is comfortably at home as we are having and uncomfortable experience still awaiting news… where is the concern for us as customers? What makes this experience worse is that we are in Chiriqui for the first time and had looked forward to our vacation……
They told us it would cost 310 for 3 nights over the phone. I’m from Central America and I asked her 3 times to be sure, it is 310 for the 3 nights. Yes! When we got there 1,023 was charged to our account what the F. Bad buiness! Not to mention, I was unloading my own luggage. For $310/night, surely someone could have assisted me.
We stayed April 20, one nite. Truly was a pleasure. We were upgraded to master suite complimentary. Private terrace with wood burning fireplace! Wonderful bedding Great shower. And the dinner was outstanding. Loved our short visit but will definitely return next special occasion
This is a lovely hotel well sited on the edge of the town set in lovely gardens. The food in particular is superb. A couple of things let it down: -a hotel of this price/standard should have a pool -the service levels fall well below an international standard. The staff do not seem to have been trained to look after customers. For. Example it took us 40 minutes to check out, although we told them in advance when we wanted to do it! Emails don’t get answered, the taxi sent to collect us from the airport turned up 40 minutes late (the flight is the same time every day!), the list could go on. The owners need to get a grip.
We had a drink in the bar which reminded us of an English pub with soft chairs and sofas and a roaring fire. Although the atmosphere was great, the service was lousy. When my wife and I arrived there were only two other people in the bar. No one ever came by so I ordered from the bar. A while later our daughter came in and I told her she needed to order from the bar. The bartender told her he’d have the waiter bring her the drink. Almost 15 minutes later the waiter brought her glass of wine. By now we were the only three people in the bar - still an hour before closing time.
Very friendly courteous staff that went above and beyond. The rooms were clean, bed comfortable, restaurant have the best Chef in Panama "Charlie Collins". Would highly recommend to anyone heading to Boquete.
