The gardens are so lush that you cannot get the full effect of this pretty little place until you pass the Manager´s office. She is bilingual and welcomes guests graciously. The rooms are so clean, bright, and there are hand painted borders. The kitchenette is small, but well appointed. The bathrooms are clean and bright - and it is so nice and quiet in the evenings. Great find.
I stayed at Valle Primavera a while back. At first I was delighted to find the property. It really was a non-smoking place, something that is essential to my health. The owner responded to my email request quickly and was helpful in getting me set up to stay. It also had nice grounds and clean, large rooms. I will not go into the details of my stay there, except to say that the woman living there who was taking care of the place came into my room a number of times, as did her cat. However, the cat in my room was not my first encounter with this pet. Here is a copy of the note I sent to the owner after I returned to the US: Your cat urinated on one of my suitcases. As I was bringing in the suitcases I saw your mother tell the cat to get off my suitcase, but never dreamed it had urinated on it. There was a smell of cat urine in the room, but I did not guess that it was on my suitcase. Only after leaving the room (when I left Boquete) was I aware of the urine on the suitcase. Before coming to your place the suitcase was fine. How could this situation have happened? I cannot imagine that this problem has not occurred before. Why is she allowed to roam in places where such a situation happened? Not only was she allowed on your grounds, but in the room, which your mother entered and left the door open more than once. I certainly hope that this problem has not affected and will not affect other customers. Since returning to the U.S. I have spent 10 days trying and trying to remove the stain and the smell, without success. The suitcase had to be thrown out, because the smell remains. This trip was only the second time that the suitcase was used and to replace it will be costly. How can you and/or your insurance help solve this situation? The owners never responded to my email nor to the second email I sent. To say I was disappointed with the situation and lack of respons is an understatement.…
I stayed in Boquete for 7 nights, after an adventurous trip through Peru. I wanted to relax and soak in the birds chirping, the perfect temperatures and small town feel. I looked at every place in Boquete (on TripAdvisor) and discovered this place because the largest room had a full kitchen. I like to cook using local ingredients, when that option is available. This adorable place had it all for me. The owners, a mother/daughter team, were so inviting and kind. That started everything off on the right foot.If I needed anything, they were there and even with my poor Spanish speaking skills, the mother and I would laugh hysterically at the property's dog and cat, who took turns chasing each other all over the property. I felt like I lived there. It's about a 5-10 minute stroll to town and is set back from the main road so you can either walk that one or the local road that runs parallel to it. That is a nice walk past homes and small eateries. I learned the hard way on another trip that you never want to stay right in town, because the night owls will be loud and usually drink, so a little ways out of town will guarantee a good night's sleep. The king sized bed was more comfortable that my own back home. I still miss it. The kitchen had almost everything, but you may want to get some paper or plastic dinner plates and if you are more than a couple of people, then some plastic ware. It is suitable for two people and has a coffee maker, blender, microwave and an awesome 6 burner stove/oven. The bathroom was huge with a great rock-walled shower, hot water and excellent pressure. Windows are everywhere, for the perfect cross-breeze too. Wifi was excellent too. Never dropped service once. Housekeeping each day kept the place clean and the mother always checked her work after she was done. They make sure you are well taken care of. I will stay there again on my next trip to Boquete. There are other rooms but not as big and I don't know if they have kitchens, but they may. It's definitely a place worthy of consideration.…
I try to be a budget traveler and get the best value. This was budget but no value. Buggy ancient rooms. No amenities. It is within walking distance to town. The rooms are not clean and the bathroom needs a remodel - 20 years ago. The owners elderly mother tries to attend to guests, but is not able to. Owners are absent from the property. It is in a low end part of town.
What a gem this place is. It has about six rooms. We had one with a small kitchenette as we wanted to be able to prepare simple meals, mostly breakfast. The kitchen had a four burner gas stove with oven, small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker There was plenty of space for us in the room. Nieves was at home recovering from an injury to her ankle however her mother Evaliza was a wonder. She sang us arias, prepared a fabulous breakfast of fresh cantaloupe, bananas and raw almonds, toast and eggs to order with coffee, and visited briefly daily. She is always upbeat and fun. Daily the room is cleaned and towels changed. We stayed for two weeks and loved it.The grounds are lovely with fruit trees, and flowering shrubs and flowers. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the center of town. It takes about five to walk to a couple of great eateries. Sugar and Spice serves fabulous breakfasts and lunches and Punta del Quentra which serves breakfast only. There are two other nearby restaurants.…
