I have been a regular at Space and have sent many members of family and friends to stay there. What I witnessed this time around was extremely disgusting environment and behaviour from the management. Firstly during my stay I asked to see or even speak to the manager but to no avail. I think it’s easier to see/speak to the president than to speak to the manager in my 11 days stay the manager never spoke to me once. Last time around the manager was someone called Tariq who was exceptional but whoever this person is now needs firing by the owners! He/she believes they are way above the guests! I believe the owners live in the US and are detached from the business, a word to the owners get a proper manager this person will ruin your business. Now from the start- we (family of 3 adults) arrived after a really delayed flight and were very tired we had to wait around whilst the staff scrambled around for towels. Then the bathroom door handle broke in the master bedroom I reported it and was told someone would be there shortly. No one came and 2 hours later after many calls we were told it would now be tomorrow morning! So we left for the evening to meet friends and family. (The handle never was fixed and staff told me it’s been like this for months and they just stuck it on when guests check in and it breaks when used first time and they promise to fix it but never do as they have no funds from the management) The next day the toilet flush broke I called them at 10 am and eventually at 4 pm Simone came armed with a screwdriver and pliers. Anyway after butchering the flush mechanism I was told the flush could not be fixed and I can move to another apartment. I suggested as we had fully unpacked that they swap the flush mechanisms. Wow never thought of that! Any way after an hour of god knows what he was doing the plumber appeared and triumphantly declared the toilet fixed when I went to try it only partly flushed. I was told this is the best and they will order the parts (the parts never came and we resorted to flushing by using the bin as a bucket!!!) then the restaurant on the first floor took a delivery of roosters who were caged on the roof above our apartment who started crowing at 4 am every morning. I phoned at 4am on the next day and asked reception to hear the noise in the bedroom via my phone and they agreed and apologised and said as soon as the restaurant opens they will get the roosters moved it took many days for this to happen. Also form day 2 the water pressure reduced drastically in that it would take an hour for the flush to fill even after the partial flush we were getting. Showering was impossible as all you got out of the shower was a dribble. Also many times the place ran out of water and we had to resort to washing with mineral water. Then we learned to fill empty bottles when the water came and use them when the water ran out which it would every evening. When we complained we would be told sir we have ordered a water tanker and it is coming. The standard of cleaning is abysmal to say the least my feet were black after walking on the floor. The staff had dirty mops and would only throw cleaner on the floor and wipe it about no mop bucket in sight. I asked one of the cleaners to wipe the freshly mopped floor in a small area with a tissue and the tissue came out black. The only positives are the location is close to fast food places etc and the bellboys/cleaners are polite and pleasant to talk to and I feel sorry for them having to take the flak. One of them told me that nearly every customer complains but management don’t care. We’ll take heed space owners you need to spend money on the property and employ management that have even basic customer service experience and training. It’s such a shame that I won’t be going back to stay there as it really was my favourite place in Rawalpindi/islamabad and I will be telling my friends and family to avoid this place too. This has to be the worst place I have stayed at. They named this is place "luxury". They don't know the meaning of it. I booked 3 nights. I stayed 1 night, what a nightmare. The room looked as it had not been cleaned in a long time. I was going to bed and found it had not been changed and as if some one slept, got up and just put the duvet on. There was a dead gecko in the room. The fridge and kettle was absolutely filthy. The breakfast is a complete joke. Not worth it. I got bread, a dried omelette and cold tea. I complained and they sent a cleaner at 3am in the morning. The bathroom you could not use the shower. The standard of hygiene is terrible. The reception of this is in a different location to the actual space luxury rental suites. See the uploaded pictures. Do not pay by foreign card. They cannot refund you back to the card. I had a UK bank card. How can a hotel booking site have this sort of property or hosts on their site. What monitoring and quality assurance measures are in place.
