It was an amazing stay in the desert, very easy to reach by car. Watching sunset, sunboarding, have a camel ride, experience the sands... We and our two 10-years old kids enjoyed the location, service and food. No pool, but driving 1 hour to wadi bani khalid for swimming and sightseeing.

If you want the basic conveniences of a hotel but with the feeling that you've gone camping in the desert, then this is a great option. The activities will probably keep you occupied for a couple of days (dune bashing, quad biking, watching a desert sunset, sand boarding) but it's a shame they don't have 2- or 4-seater dune buggies.... The area itself is nice, rooms are clean. We arrived at 1 pm in May. As this is a really hot period, they had no activities before sunset. This should be mentioned in the booking, as there is nothing else you can do on your own. I would recommend to arrive on 5 pm and book the activities in advance.... More

The camp is very luxurious, Internet available free of charge in reception area. Tents spacious, nice furniture. Great air condition, fantastic chef and great buffet in the evenings and for breakfast. Excursions very expensive. More than 100 OR for a 90 minute camel ride into the sunset with 2 people accompanied by a 16 year old, very friendly boy, which... More

The hotel is located 2 hours away from Muscat, direction Sur, 11 km off the road of Al Wasil town. It is recommended to have 4 wheel drive to go the last 11 km. The hotel / rooms are literally firm "tents" that are spread across the area. Some more are going to be build this year. Each tent has... More

Stayed here with family for 1 night as part of a holiday in Oman. The camp met our expectations from other reviews and photos. Unfortunately, the day we went there was a heavy thunderstorm, which meant torrential rain for much of the evening, and grey skies in the morning. Rooms are spacious and well designed. The bed was very comfortable,... More

Great place for one day/night but I wouldn't recommend staying more than one full day. We drove our own car directly from the airport and found the drive easy to navigate most of the times. Do note the highways are being redone so the quality is very high. In terms of the resort itself, the staff are very friendly and... More

I wish we could stay there more than 1 night. A hotel in the dessert, with luxury tents that are beautiful and well-equipped, fantastic food, great ambience. They take you up a dune with 4x4's to watch the sunset (unfortunately it was cloudy when we went) - free. We arranged a sunrise and dune-bashing trip through the hotel, and this... More
