It was Arafat Day (27 July 2023) plus 3 days of Eid Holiday so my wife and I decided to drive to Oman from Abu Dhabi, UAE. This hotel is decent and well maintained. The Omani Mr. Ibrahim (?) from the reception was very helpful and gave us information that we need. Only complaint we have is the not so cool AC. We can't bring down the temp below 25 deg C. We set the thermostat to 23 and then to 21 but the temp hover between 25 and 27 deg C. Even with the hotel staff intervention, the temp did not go down below 25. They have a good swimming pool and a nice Bangladeshi lifeguard (we forgot his name). The beach is actually part of a public beach. It wasn't bad but the waves were strong during our stay. The breakfast is quite cheap compared to the many other hotels that we've been through. Mr. Rajesh's karak chai is excellent! Mr. Rajesh was also very courteous and helpful. Overall, it was a good stay and it's location is just perfect and close to everything that we want to go to within Sohar.

It was an amazing and fun filled stay with my family and our friend Prasanth family. Staff was so courteous and supportive . Chef Vijay was fully supported by Lalith and manged by Saban .The food served was very appetising and was served with a smile and reminded us of our homely food.Swimming pool is filled with clean water which was very refreshing to swim in. We spent the night playing tennis and basketball in the floodlights which gave a feeling of playing in the sunlight. Hospitality start from reception . Location , architecture of building similar to a castle look lighted up in the night gives a cool stay .

One of the best and scenic places ever in Sohar. The rooms were well furnished with great amenities and the beach view from the room window was mesmerizing. I spent half of my time in the swimming pool. Food was yummy.

It's now more than 2 days that I have been staying for a quarantine period in this hotel Up to now: Clean spacious rooms Ac working properly Food is delivered at door on time( I would prefer more international options, however the restaurant manager seems to try his best) Every room has a view to outside pool or garden.( hope next time I would be asjed to choose my preferred one) Clean shower and ... A little bit stressed from the journey, the friendly behaviour of the Sohar Beach Hotel team let me feel comfortably and relaxed after two days. The room is not only big it is great, and clean. Not only the breakfast and the diner are fun for my tongue, also the talk with Rajesh and his colleagues are interesting and funny (Rajesh, make handcuffs to your cook, he can everytime start up with his own restaurant in Germany. Good stuff from good staff). Thanks to all the nice people i know now in Oman. Four weeks ago i don' t know where it is, now i love it! For all readers: Come to where the beach is, fly over Muscat airport and enjoy the beautyful architecture. Make the trip to Sohar by bus or taxi and learn about the friendly people in Oman. I called Mr.Ali, the Sales Manager(Sohar Beach Hotel) to find out a suitable room. He promptly agreed to arrange one for me. My first impression about him was good. We arrived at the hotel on time. Mr. Ali greeted us cordially and took me to see the room. I made a choice, a room with partial sea view and complete view of the swimming pool. It was my first stay in the hotel. The room was well maintained, double sanitized to ensure covid-19 safety. Restaurant staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. The beach is just adjacent to the boundary walls, accessible through a small gate therein or through the main gate out to the road that takes you towards a public park nearby. The swimming pool is open through out the day and designed in a way that kids can enjoy in the water without fear. My daughter is just 3 years old and still she had a lot of fun, the most memorable event of the trip for her. Though the number of staff seen around was very less (may be due to covid-19 factor), we still didn't feel any inconvenience in the hotel. To be honest, Wi-fi didn't work at all, though free connection was available in the room. It wasn't required for me either since we were busy enjoying the stay, away from phone, a complete family time. However, It was a good and comfortable stay.

I checked in at 2:30 pm, they allotted me Room no 18, the room did not have a proper lock and there was water spillage at the entrance. The corridor lights were flickering. Next, we requested to move us, they moved us to a Pool view room - 7, wifi didn't work and neither did the intercom (phone). Now to place an order at the restaurant - we had to go to the restaurant and place the order.
All this, when the hotel was with less than 20% capacity as per the housekeeping guy.
I am sad to say, that the hotel has baised approach to a certain sect/race of people.
Oh and I write this just as soon as I checked into the hotel.

Very worst place, spoiled the Christmas night. While check in no one was available for some and some came she doesn’t understand English and struggled to explain. What ever agreed during booking time not full filled. After check in access card was not working for half hour and waited. No staff to support bring luggage. No complementary stuff like toiletries, bath towels in room requested couple of times but not provided. No buffet was there in evening. Very worst breakfast in morning. Only some French fries, egg and upma as BF . Finally held up in toilet due lock complaints and no maintenance team was came for 45 minutes.
Totally waste , NOT recommend to stay at all , very irresponsible staff and management

I was on my quarantine stay at Sohar Beach, It was really fantastic stay at this Mesmerizing Sunrise view from Sohar Beach hotel. When I entered the hotel reception, my booking was ready and it was hardly a minute to take my room with good staff support. Early morning sunrise was fantastic and support staff from housekeeping to restaurant and everyone taken care of my stay. Front officer Sushma was jewel on crown to support and guide the procedures and support of assistance. Restaurant manager is to call every alternate day to find the service and food quality. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and relatives. Thanks once again to all members at Sohar Beach Hotel.

I have been staying in Sohar Beach hotel for last 19 months, this is one of fabulous and well managed property situated right next to the beach. Both sea view and pool view rooms are excellent and peaceful, they have got well maintained swimming pool, gym,billiards room and in house bar as well.. Sales manager Mr.Ali is always there to help you out in any situations, House keeping team and manager (Mr.Dhan) is very efficiently doing their job. Food is excellent and many continental and Indian cuisine dishes are available.. restaurant and room service team lead by Chief chef Mr.Vjay and their team (2 girls,Lalith,Vishal,Ravinder) is giving their best. Front desk service could have been better but I have observed some changes after hiring of new indian receptionist (Swetha) recently. Overall I’m enjoying my stay at Sohar Beach Hotel.. Highly recommended for family and corporate employees..... Thanks to Sohar Beach Hotel team!

Erm, I think you need to ask the hotel these questions!? I am not staying in Sohar right now but my husband is and uses the Al Wadi hotel for food/beverages more than any other venue in Sohar. The food is good at Sohar Beach but more expensive than Al Wadi. Try calling them on 26841111 and take it from there. Enjoy your stay!
