I saw the difference of being professional just on arrival Very polite and helpful staff Friendly Mostly I’ve been communicating with SIJIN and CAMILLE And also the day i check out i met SOUMAYA and NAWAL Such wonderful ppl Hotel is very clean and quiet ( even though i could not get room in renovated section) still i was comfortable Very good dine in service from restaurants and support from housekeeping Nice pool and walking area Nice breakfast Small quiet bar Gym & ... Everything was lovely at this hotel
This place where my stress disappears.actually this is my third time visit here in hilton salalah..i keep on coming back its because the place was great.when it comes to food its very delicious, and to the staff,Ms.imelda always excellent, very kind and professional, everytime i saw her she always smile and it gives me good vibes.Hilton salalah is one of my favorite place.
The resort is not a bad option for a day or two, the breakfast is nice and the staff are very friendly, however I must point to a few negatives like the room being very dusty, even though it was a nice resort. I must warn anyone wanting to stay there to be very careful of the taxi mafia as I have started to call them that. They are parked outside the hotel and have a special arrangement with the front desk. The local OTAXI app is blocked out and you cannot arrange your own taxi. They will pitch up in a Matter of minutes even before you leave the front desk. Good service you might think, but this is where it gets interesting they will ask u 7riyals(21usd) for a trip to the local mall or museum which is 3km away and the normal charge on the app is between 1-2 riyals, they will charge 15riyals(45usd) to the airport 5 km away. They get aggressive and rude when you try to negotiate and as per my experience they chased the taxi I arranged to take me to the airport away at 2am and forced me to use one of their taxis. I felt very uncomfortable and scared and even got the head of security to assist me with these guys. They only backed of after I asked to get the local police involved which scared them abit. The hotel is definitely colluding with these mafia operatives and put a question mark on the ethics policy of this property. Beware and don’t get ripped off…
Ellen was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable at reception. Had a great chat to the guy at the pool about football and cricket (sorry I have forgotten your name). Great buffet dinner and breakfast with friendly and efficient service from Rhea, Shahab and Ameer. Thanks to the chef too for preparing a special order. Spacious room with mountain view. Attentive house keeping checked everything was OK. I think attention to detail from all the staff sets the Hilton apart from other hotels in the area.
Very nice hotel with ample twin bedrooms, a rather sober decoration around the eating area and an overall good atmosphere. Eating out by the pool was quite nice, had it not been for the mosquitoes. The staff was very welcoming, and so were the shop sellers.
I have been to this hotel many times over the last 20 years. It has always given me great pleasure to write a report about the property and this is my recent update, but I am returning for a further 10 nights in December. When you enter a calm, peaceful lobby with a high dome ceiling there is a feeling of happiness. Swift check in by polite receptionists who are delighted that you are staying at their hotel. We chose a Superior sea view bedroom with balcony. This is 45 square metres in size with a good bathroom and amenities. View was of the garden, pool and the beach and sea through the one or two palm trees. The room was spotlessly clean, and was serviced every day mostly with fresh linen. Bathroom is large with bath and shower over. Plenty of clothes hanging space but you might want to order a few more coat hangers from housekeeping. Hotel has a small parade of shops off reception with a little general store run by Zain a Sri Lankan. Great Guy. Food, when we were there was excellent with a good choice. The Al Maha Restaurant served breakfast and dinner. Some nights dinner was buffet, mostly given over to Asian style food and BBQ, Otherwisw the A La Carte menu was very good in terms of choice. We ate from both and were exceptionally pleased. They are opening a new restaurant in the New Year, which will be A La Carte and will serve some great food, I am sure. Some floors are smoking and some non smoking so make sure you place your requirement when making your booking. We were on floor three, which was non smoking. There is a new hotel building next door to the Hilton on the Salalah town side, but it is complete and did not interfere with our enjoyment whatsoever. The beach is wide, about 100 yards to the sea. Staff were wonderful and I would like to mention Anthony and Ramesh in the senior positions departments. Soumaya in reception, Rhea and Karen and Husnain in the restaurant and a wonderful lad, Al Amin, who looks after the gardens, pool area and fetched our drinks when we wanted them. I dearly love this hotel and will return, as I said, in December. The spiritual vibe for me is perfect and sitting in the garden under the palms, surrounded by bougainvillea, with a wonderful breeze every day coming in off the Arabian Sea is my perfect thing to do. I am biased, but would recommend this hotel for travellers wanting peace and quiet at a reasonable price (take half board if you can, no restaurants within walking distance) with good service and it is interesting to look towards the port and sea and experience the ships rolling in and rolling out. Love it.…
Had been here for 2 nights and three days during August season. Very spacious rooms, friendly staff and amazing breakfast - all these things made our stay memorable. Kudos to all the staff. You guys are doing an amazing staff.
The welcoming was very friendly. I will be very specific and direct the rest were tolerable apart from the sleepless nights which we have discovered 2nd night of our stay due to late arrival on the first night. The bar next to our room wasnt really ideal - from a very long day and travel, the frist thing we wanted is to have a comptable and restful sleep night over. I have reached out to the reception and requested to be moved out to another room--- --which I am happy the reception desk were very accommodating. Suggestions to Hilton management/reception if its family avoid booking the rooms next to the bar. we cant control people having fun thus, the hotel itself is for resting at NIGHT. not all were into partying until 3am in the morning. Our stay is ok because of the pool, and the staff i really have to say the staff were very friendly and accomodating althou we felt sad because the pool area looks old specially the pool bar nipa hut and the slide were starting to rust. Guess the management were starting to forget how Hilton hotels used to be so lively. Maybe only in Salalah. the breakfast was OK if i suggest you have to eat when your super hungry to appreciate it. if you know waht i mean. the best experience we had is by the pool.…
I stayed in this hotel with my kids Aug 13 to 18, and our room experience was TERRIBLE. Someone decided to put the outdoor bar in close proximity to one of the wings, the bar is litteraly surrounded by rooms. Every night you wake up on people talking, laughing, shouting, and on 2 out of 5 nights litterally screaming at 3am. It looks like the staff has instructions to encourage bar clients on the expense of hotel guests. First time i complained, i was told the manager will talk to me, nothing happened. The loudest night i called reception at 3:45am, the answer i got was " we apologize for the inconvenience, please give us 10-15 minutes" So the hotel is expecting a guest trying to sleep at 3:45 am to simply "give them 15 minutes" No this hotel is not for sleeping. This said, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the facilities are good although old, the food is average, but i guess this is on the high end for Salalah standard. I'd say a 3 or 4 stars.…
