Stayed here for a night. Staff helpful. Place very clean though obviously basic. I paid 28 rials including breakfast. Good value in comparison to other hotels in Oman. Breakfast is eggs juice toast coffee and is really good. Down side is that a hired a guide for a tour to Jebel Akhadar who then sexually assaulted me during our walk....

Our one-night stay there was very pleasant. Very friendly staffs. The hotel is on the main road, which aligns with supermarket and restaurants. The room was large and clean. Just don't shower at noon in Summer because the water was boiling during that time.

On our first night's stay in Nizwa we did not stay at the Majan as our (rather old) guide gave it a poor review. However, being wet and cold from a downpour in the mountains, we needed a retreat. We were very pleasantly surprised, and at 35 OR is very good value. We had a dressing room as well as...

We stayed at Majan Guest House for 2 nights and we were pleasantly surprized. It is run by a very friendly family that really cares for their business. The room was large, with 2 excellent beds, first class linen, well decorated and spotlessly clean. The bathroom spacious and well equipped. The hotel is a bit out of the ordinary with...

The hotel is just off the main room, its a few minutes from a supermarket (turn left and cross the round about, you can't miss it) and a few minutes drive from the town centre (turn right when leaving the hotel car park) The room wasn't bad it had a 'firm' bed but I had no problems sleeping on it....

Majan is a guest house undergoing transformation, it is basic and has room for improvement but the rates are more than competative and the staff are most helpful.. breakfast is included in the taraif but when was stayed they had not as yet started their planned buffet brekkie... suffice to say that they make the best omlette south of the...

Majan Guest House is well situated a few kilometres away from the city centre of Nizwa (need car or taxi). Rooms are decent: bath room at the street side, ‘middle room’ with wardrobe and tiny desk, bed room with corridor window. Restaurant next door serves good breakfast (included) and a limited amount of very tasty meals. Friendly staff. Perfectly located...

I found Majan to be perfectly adequate for my needs: relatively inexpensive, a roof over my head, quiet, and reasonably comfortable. I'm not real particular if those needs are met. The hotel is outside of the the city so you have to drive about 15-20 minutes to get to the fort and souk. The hotel doesn't really have any charm...

We spent a month in Oman camping and hotels from 5* downwards. Majan gets a good write up in the guide books and it is certainly good value by Oman standards. Reception staff helpful, the room, and attached dressing room combined gave plenty of space. The room was very clean. The bathroom was clean with good towels and plenty of...

Oman is not a cheap country to travel to. Economists would call it "Dutch disease". So this hotel is as good as it gets for a low budget. that doesn't make it cheap, but it makes it good value for money. It is clean, the service is friendly (but Oman is usually a friendly place). OK, the beds are old,...
