The hotel is smack between the ONTC bus station and Nizwa city. It is walkable from the bus but to the city you need to take a taxi. When I arrived they were doing slight renovations in reception. The staff were qlways very friendly and helpful. I found the rooms to be spacious, plain, and comfortable. On the ground floor... More

My friend and I stayed here for one night before heading up Jebel Al Akhdar. It was great value and a good location to the mountain. It's a short drive into the centre for the souq and fort. If you need somewhere affordable and easy to get to then this is the place for you. Plus the room they gave... More

The location is great for us since we have a vehicle. It is right beside the highway. The hotel staff printed us a map of the sights to see and gave us a quick overview. Breakfast was nice, and we had dinner there both nights. Overall, very good value for the money.

The good: -the breakfast is simple but a step above continental. A good start to the day -the location makes it very easy to find and it's about a 5 minute drive to the fort -the rooms are clean and a good size -friendly staff The bad -the location isn't bad, but you need your own transport -the staff is... Stayed for 3 nights. The guest house is located on the main road, near the local fast food restaurant Hungry Bunny. If traveling by car, it is easily accessible. If by bus, you will need to take a cab (less than 5 min) from the Nizwa bus station. Too far and hot to walk. As there are no hotels (to... More

A basic budget hotel which lives up the expectation of one - don't come here expecting the Ritz for what you paid. Rooms clean, breakfast basic but adequate, staff friendly good parking and no issues with the hotel. From what I gather, Oman is expensive when it comes to accommodation so this was considered a good budget hotel. Wifi decent... More

This place close to city may be a 20 minutes walk you will reach the heart of the city. There is a fast food joint next door. I will... More

This was our second time staying at the Majan Guest House and except for the major road development right outside the hotel (took a couple of goes to work out how to get onto the service road, trying to miss the diggers!) nothing much had changed! Very friendly staff, wifi, clean rooms - we had booked the 2 bedroom family... More

This hotel is average. There is nothing particularly spectacular, nor interesting about it. The restaurant is OK. The breakfast is OK. The room is OK. You need a car to see Nizwa. As other reviewers have said. It is nearly impossible to get a taxi on the main street in front of this hotel. It is also VERY far from... More

The rooms are nice and clean, free wifi, beds comfortable, spacious. Breakfast very poor! Coffee horrible and the rest... just some toast with marmelade and butter. For the moment there are works on the road, so not easy to access but should be fine shortly. 10min ride to city centre, no problem to find a parking spot. As there aren't... More
