Khasab is a beautiful relaxing place in musandam Oman and what could be better than staying in your own self contained apartment with friends. Two bedrooms, really comfortable beds great facilities. The staff are really helpful and nice. The breakfast is basic but fills you up for the day. The restaurant I think is under utilized and could do some nice basic evening meals possibly with a bottle of beer or a glass of wine as it’s a wonderful building with character and atmosphere. Pool area is nice and relaxing with a nice pool. Temperature nice- once your in. Refreshing after a long day.

We spent three nights here and had a lovely time. We booked a two bedroom apt and one child went on the sofa bed whilst the other two shared the twin. Two bathrooms with good water pressure. We took our own food and cooked each night. The kitchen had a stove top, microwave, fridge and sink. The living room also has a table and chairs. It was the perfect little place for us to stay. The pool is beautiful and a lovely temperature. The only issue was that there were no sun loungers. I specifically booked an extra day after the dhow cruise (travel and tourism is opposite the hotel) to relax by the pool - so not ideal. The restaurant is also a pre-bookable one so no cafe serving drinks or snacks during the day. It is easily solved as there is a Lulu supermarket up the road and lots of restaurants nearby. Just depends on what you want. The breakfast was basic but fine for what we wanted. All in all we were really pleased with the place and would recommend it. I just wish they would consider sun loungers for the pool!

All new everything, a polite and thoughtful staff, a clean and fun pool, and awesome breakfasts! Easy to find and a fun base with lots more options for touring than we were ready to take advantage of. Heard great things about the mountain safari from other guests. I highly recommend the Show Cruise with associated Khasab Travel and Tours. All eight of my kids called it the highlight of our vacation so far. A nice daylight drive from Abu Dhabi or closer from Dubai. Caution (not an Esra Hotel thing, just life in small-town Oman) - Italian coffee and automotive front end alignment are last to be found in Ras Al Khaima. Khasab is beautiful and worth the visit. While there is a modern LuLu supermarket, it is not Dubai-calibre. Nonetheless, a great visit just a quick drive from home!

PROS Clean Comfortable beds Quiet location (you won't be woken by the call to prayer) Beautiful pool which is very clean Very efficient air-conditioning and fans in both bedrooms Close to the airport Good wifi CONS Currently the apartment block is undergoing renovation and heavy construction starts as early as 6.30am and goes for most of the day. This includes jack hammering and sledge hammers. The floor in our apartment was vibrating and at times we had to shout over the noise. The management offered us a small compensation and to change rooms which was kind but I think they should be notifying guests in advance. The rooms aren't serviced (no rubbish removal, cleaning, bed making etc). The kitchen is massive and has a stove and microwave but you can't use any of it because there are no cooking implements provided. You literally have 2 plates, 2 cups, 2 saucers and the same in cutlery. The main bathroom smelt very bad and was unusable. We had to keep the door closed at all times to stop it from spreading through the apartment. The ensuite was totally fine. The apartment was 2 bedrooms but it has no living area.... It's literally 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. You need a car to stay here. It's about 3.5klms out of town and there are no restaurants nearby. The hotel restaurant was closed throughout our stay. The hotel transfers into town add up very quickly at 5 OMR per trip. There is no lift at the hotel so you may need to walk up stairs depending on what floor you're staying on. Staff were really helpful at carrying our bags but it may not be suitable for an older person.

visited this place during the Eid, I was amazed With service provided by co-ordinator Ms Wafaa, we where stuck on the border of dubai and oman due to our employment status , and we where about to return but ms wafa was so quick to respond though it was very late and out of her working hour ,she and the P.R.O made some quick requests and we where let inside oman, It showed how much dedication they have towards there work, Hotel was very neat and tidy, calm and very suitable for a family outing , Booking for dhow and prices was normal, Though being Eid holiday ms Wafaa was still co-ordinating till we exited , wonderful experience, I would recommend to all my friends and family, Thank you for ur service ,
