I came from Japan. I can't understand French language but I felt the staff talked bad things about me because they were look at me and laughing that's so mean. (expect reception) Here's staff is not friendly, hasn't smile. I have been to a lots of country,Maldives,Fiji, and more but I have never seen such a staff. Anyway, location and restaurant quality is perfect. I just recommend location and meal. I don't want repeat again.

We stayed here for our two nights on the island. We had the deluxe room which was fine, basic but the bed was comfortable and we only used the room to sleep and get changed! Yes staying on the island is expensive, so you are paying a premium but the visit to Ils des pins is worth every penny. We ate at the restuarant twice, filler of beef was lovely, generous portion size and they happily changed the side dish offered. My husband had the chicken dish and was less impressed so ordered the beef the next night! If you are on a budget would recommend this hotel, Kuto Bay is fab and you can also walk to Kanumera Bay within 10mins which is also stunning.

We had 2 nights at Hotel Kou-Bugny and it was quite pleasant. It is in a good location. The rooms were a good size and well equppied, and the buffet breakfast was pretty substantial. The staff were helpful and we didn't have too many problems communicating. After checking out, we arrived at the airport and the weather prevented flights from landing, and we ended up having to book another night's accomodation. This time we chouse Oure Lodge and both the accommodation and food were a step higher by comparison. It has more of a resort feel

Hotel is in the perfect location between 2 beautiful beaches, white, powdery Kuto bay on one side and the snorkeling gem Kanumera bay on the other side. For two days it felt like we were on our own beach, there were hardly any people around. On Thursday, the cruise ship arrived and the whole beach transformed. The locals were bbq-ing fish and lobsters ($30 Australian for the lobster), selling fruit and offering 2 hour trips around the island. It is worth planning your trip so that it includes a day when the cruise boat is there. We went on a trip around the island offered to the people from the ship and it was really good. Hotel offers their own excursions. We went to the Natural Pool and that was the highlight of our trip. The van leaves at 10.30 and picks you up at 3pm. The cost of this trip was about 2700 per person. The hotel also offers car rentals which works as a better deal than going on their excursions but you need an international driver's licence! The cost of car rental is about 6600 franks (for hotel guests) and it includes petrol. The breakfasts at the hotel restaurant included a good variety of dishes. They also offer sandwiches throughout a day. If you want to have a lobster for dinner you need to order it at the restaurant i day before. The sea temperature in July is a bit chilly, we found that the water in Kanumera bay was warmer. Do not miss a trip to the Natural Pool! You will see heaps of fish and you don't even need to snorkel! They come to you and you can see them while standing in the water. Free wi fi but it only works at the reception.

This place was so clean and staff were very helpful. Food was amazing and beachfront restaurant just lovely. We went for long walks on the beach. Did some snorkelling in a gorgeous cove a short walk from the hotel.
