Although the staff is extremely friendly and eager to help wherever they can (from bar staff to room service), i must say the accommodation was not up to scratch.. Dated bathrooms.. Room phones that doesn't work properly, aircon remote missing from the room, coffee but no milk sachets, no room service menu's in the room. The staff sorted this out... More

We stayed at Pelican for one night only but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff are professional & committed to service excellence. Our supper & breakfast were of excellent quality. Their wine list was dissapointing though. We only have one concern & that is that in a water scarce country the taps need to run for 20 minutes before you... More

Very nice, large room overlooking the lagoon. The place might not be classy, but it's well run, comfortable and very silent (seagulls aside). Good breakfast (which is included), wifi so and so, nice seafood restaurant a few steps away. Overall a good choice.

The Pelican Bay Hotel is our go to place for relaxation and cycling at the coast. Although there has always been maintenance issues especially when it comes to the air conditioners our last three stays have been without a functioning air conditioner. As there is no easy way to put it the grand lady’s maintenance issues are now impacting the... More

All the basics are catered for at this hotel. Stay included a breakfast. The hotel is set right at the lagoon with a full view of the sand banks and birdlife. Pleasant sounds of the bird sanctuary is experienced from the balconies facing the beach right outside your room. Watch out for a green lit circle on some wall-mounted device.... More

We visited the Pelican Bay Hotel during December for a cup of coffee and a slice of cake, but what a disappointment it turned out to be. First of all, the service was well non-existent. We had a cup of coffee and slice of cake and when we wanted to pay our N$ 45.00 bill the cashier informed us that... More

Traveling 3 weeks in South Africa and Namibia, this hotel was by far the worst place we stayed on the whole trip. The staff was very inattentive (we carried our large bags ourselves to the top floor (no elevator)), the first night we did not have air conditioning and only luke warm water. The place felt like it was without... More

Pelican Bay was a very nice little hotel. Great location for walking the esplanade and bird watching. Hotel was clean, modern and stylish. Rooms were modern and well maintained. Beds were comfortable. Staff were very accommodating, worked with us to find the best rooms to fit our family situation. Restaurant was average, nothing special. The stir-fry was a good option.
