We liked the location – on the beach and also the chalets. Their design is very special and creates a cozy atmosphere with full privacy. The room was very spacious and the bed comfortable. We also liked the breakfast.
The Stiltz is a very unique lodge, each unit in the dunes overlooking the beach - we stayed in the two story family unit, very nice! Staff was exceptional: friendly and professional, out of their way helpful booking sand duning and other amazing excursions.
The lodge was beautiful with views of a flamingo vlei, the ocean & the Namib desert! We slept so peacefully with the ocean air! Thank you for a lovely stay & very good customer service! The place was very safe. We had a lovely time!
Ideally situated above the beach at the start of Swakopmond, we were fortunate to get one of the larger villas, number 1. This was a wooden, two-story affair, with capacious rooms and whilst the rooms were a little chilly we were given electric blankets which was a welcome surprise. The main breakfast area was just next door - the food was very good indeed - and it was a short walk into town. Service was efficient and friendly and the views from the large windows in our rooms magnificent.
All the staff at The Stiltz could not have been more friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had a wonderful room overlooking the flamingos and sea and had an amazing nights sleep in the quiet surroundings. The room was so comfortable and a lovely place to while away a couple of hours reading. The reception staff were so kind in booking somewhere for us for dinner and helped us with all sorts of things throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious too! A wonderful place to stay and highly recommended!
The Stiltz is a good choice for your time in Swakopmund. The bungalows are large and clean. The Breakfast and Staff are fine. Good restaurants in the surroundings can be found. We enjoyed our stay there.
My husband I and enjoyed our four night stay at the Stiltz. It's a really unique accommodation option for Swakopmund, and is located on the edge of town, but we found it convenient enough to still walk everywhere. The bungalow was spacious, clean, and well appointed, and we enjoyed our private balcony with views out to the ocean. Sometimes there were camels grazing in the brush underneath the bungalows. The breakfast was also really good.
My wife & I stayed here for 4 nights from Jan 13-17, 2020 before the pandemic intensified. Maudy made our stay memorable as she assisted us in most of our activities even helping us book tables at restaurants. Our room was rustic, clean, cozy & very well appointed. Being elevated from the ground made it quite unique & at the edge of the property, there is a viewing platform with an unobstructed view of the water & the desert. There is the daily visit from foraging camels that sometimes pass underneath you. Easily walkable to the city centre & restaurants.
We just spent Xmas at the Stiltz in Swakop and had the big family Villa. This is a really nice and comfortable house, the children loved it as it was big and they could run and hide in it. It reminds us of those houses in Brazil, all made in wood, it has a lot of character and is obviously on stilts. The place is quiet yet very central as it is a short walk to the Tug restaurant, the Strand and its various restaurants and most other activities in Central Swakop. The breakfast room was nice and the food was very good. Overall a very nice stay at the Stiltz and we would recommend it for a family stay of a few days in Swakop.
Stayed two nights in this superb villa. This villa consists of two rooms with their respective bathroom with all necessary amenities. A nice living room with a superb, warm decoration. A lot of natural materials used combination with African art, good match! Nice sleep comfort and stunning views. The villa is accessed by a small ‘jetty’. Parking spot just outside the jetty.
