Stayed two nights in this superb villa. This villa consists of two rooms with their respective bathroom with all necessary amenities. A nice living room with a superb, warm decoration. A lot of natural materials used combination with African art, good match!
Nice sleep comfort and stunning views.
The villa is accessed by a small ‘jetty’.
Parking spot just outside the jetty.

My wife & I stayed here for 4 nights from Jan 13-17, 2020 before the pandemic intensified.

Maudy made our stay memorable as she assisted us in most of our activities even helping us book tables at restaurants.

Our room was rustic, clean, cozy & very well appointed.

Being elevated from the ground made it quite unique & at the edge of the property, there is a viewing platform with an unobstructed view of the water & the desert.

There is the daily visit from foraging camels that sometimes pass underneath you.

Easily walkable to the city centre & restaurants.

Ideally situated above the beach at the start of Swakopmond, we were fortunate to get one of the larger villas, number 1. This was a wooden, two-story affair, with capacious rooms and whilst the rooms were a little chilly we were given electric blankets which was a welcome surprise. The main breakfast area was just next door - the food was very good indeed - and it was a short walk into town. Service was efficient and friendly and the views from the large windows in our rooms magnificent.

My husband I and enjoyed our four night stay at the Stiltz. It's a really unique accommodation option for Swakopmund, and is located on the edge of town, but we found it convenient enough to still walk everywhere. The bungalow was spacious, clean, and well appointed, and we enjoyed our private balcony with views out to the ocean. Sometimes there were camels grazing in the brush underneath the bungalows. The breakfast was also really good.

This is a great mid tier hotel within walking distance of the centre and the Strand Hotel restaurants. The hotel is built on stilts, overlooking the sea / beach and the local flamingos. Our room was large, with 2 bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other with a double. There was a large bathroom with a shower. Towels and shower gel are provided. The main bedroom also functions as a living room with a sofa, chairs, and a fridge (with honesty policy). The staff are very friendly. Reception closes at 7pm. There is a night guard who looks after the car park. Breakfast is included and is in a large communal room. There is a cold buffet, but eggs and bacon can be ordered.

Amazing place! Love the fact that the huts are on stilts, the hand carved wood furniture, all the little wood details (clothes hangers, toilet paper holder etc) and just being so close to nature. Everyone is super friendly and the morning breakfast spread which includes made to order eggs is delicious. Staff is super friendly and overall, a unique experience that we would highly recommend

The lodge itself is a haven of comfort and tranquility. The interior design perfectly complemented the surrounding landscape, blending rustic charm with modern amenities. The cozy and well-appointed rooms provided a peaceful retreat, allowing one to relax and rejuvenate after a day of exploring.
One of the highlights of staying in the lodge is the spacious balcony, which is offering an uninterrupted panoramic view of the sand dunes, Atlantic Ocean and the bird rich lagoon at the river mouth. The lodge’s restaurant is culinary delight. It providing the perfect combination of natural beauty, comfort, and exceptional service. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful retreat or an outdoor enthusiast looking for adventure, this lodge is an absolute must-visit.

We have stayed at the Stilz a few times now, and find it a really useful base in Swakopmund. The cabins are on stilts, as the name suggests, looking over lagoons full of birds, which is really great. The rooms are clean, and the whole concept is fun.

All the staff at The Stiltz could not have been more friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had a wonderful room overlooking the flamingos and sea and had an amazing nights sleep in the quiet surroundings. The room was so comfortable and a lovely place to while away a couple of hours reading.

The reception staff were so kind in booking somewhere for us for dinner and helped us with all sorts of things throughout our stay.

Breakfast was delicious too!

A wonderful place to stay and highly recommended!
