We were a both a bit disappointed overall with out two night stay at Sam's Giardino which we felt was rather overpriced, not just for room rate but also for the dinner and drinks. The rooms are seriously in need of an update and the one we stayed in had a very strange odour which we couldn't quite put our...

My wive and I have been the 2nd time at Sam's Giardino. We were so amazed the 1st time 4 years ago that we decided to stay again 2 night in this outstanding location. No one would expect such a "paradise" behind the wall when you pass the house outside the road. When you enter into the location you directly...

...where we recently enjoyed a two nights stay. Sam's establishment is located in the residential outskirts of town, yet not too far from its centre. Unfortunately the family room was already taken so we had to stay in two double rooms, which was fine enough though. The hotel in general, and the rooms in particular, sported a somewhat old-fashioned, old-world...

The lush garden is a great start when you just arrived dusty from the desert. I definitely know that I had the best breakfast on my entire journey here :-) It doesn´t matter that there is no Pool, as the tranquility of the pond and all the green is just as nice to sit and relax to. Sam and his...

We stayed for one night at Sams Giardino and enjoyed Sam's lovely hotel in the family room and his good food and great wine selection. We recommend the hotel for families / couples who enjoy Swiss flavor in Namibia. In addition to the hotel stay we clearly recommend the Little Five tour in the dunes of Swakopmund - Living Desert...

From offering to put the food we had in our car in their fridge during our stay, to friendly Beethoven (Sam's massive dog), to giving us very early breakfast when we had to leave early one day, to the lovely garden, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Breakfast was delicious, wifi quick and the staff were wonderful.

Stayed here for a couple of nights while exploring the area. Had a great time, with a very European feel in the heart of Namibia's coast and dunes! Sam was a great host, regularly checking up on us as well as introducing us to his (massive) dog Beethoven. This was without doubt one of the best breakfast sets we had...

A real oasis in the town, a beautiful garden to relax. The meals were absolutely delicious, the restaurant very beautifully decorated. The Service and the room were very good. The owner provided many interesting information about the country and the people. He was also very helpful to book the interesting tours available in the Swakopmund region.

With typical Swiss hospitality, we were made to feel extremely welcome by Sam and his staff. The accommodation was well placed to walk into town. The gourmet meals were enjoyed by all the guests and we would recommend Sam's Giardino to everyone
