This is the most amazing place to stay! We enjoyed our stay so much in 2017 that we returned. We stayed in their apartment this time. It has a fully functional kitchenette, a lounge area, a small balcony to sit outside even. The place is immaculately clean and comfortable bed. The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly and Emmanual is on hand to help with your luggage. We were returning in a few days time and were allowed to store some of our luggage in their store room. On our return it was already placed in our room. The hotel is central to many fine restaurants, a short walk to the pier and some up-market shops. Breakfast offers a fine selection of options including a cooked breakfast. I would highly recommend this as a reputable place to stay.

(4 week stay March 2021) As soon as you step into the Hansa Hotel you feel you have travelled back in time. Everything is polished and spotlessly clean and the brass sparkles. The majestic staircase in the foyer leading to your rooms just adds to the ambience. No lift here. But the bell man dressed in dark green uniform waiting to help you with you bags just adds to a by gone era. The rooms are big with high ceilings. They too are spotlessly clean and fresh smelling. We saw that all the rooms whether used or not are aired daily and sanitized accordingly. The breakfast buffet is beautifully presented with an abundance of choice. Fresh rolls and fruit everyday. Yes the hotel may seem a bit dated but because the general manager Mr Kustner who by the way is constantly present without being intrusive runs a tight ship allowing you to truly enjoy your stay. There is nothing they will not assist you with. Finally a special mention to the staff Andre and Carlos in the restaurant, reception staff and housekeeper Olga. All of whom were always professional, friendly and courteous Just wish other hotels of which we have been too many could learn something from this lovely hotel. If your worried that it’s not on the sea don’t be it’s a pleasant 5 minute walk and so often its misty and musty it’s nicer to be in town close to restaurants and infamous coffee shops.

When we think about celebrations, the Hansa Hotel in Swakopmund is always our first option and it never disappoints. Our mother’s birthday celebration got cancelled last year due to the pandemic. Having her celebration one year later at Hansa Hotel did not dampen our spirits since the management was accommodating our wishes in every way possible. Communication with the management (General Manager - Mr. H Küstner) with regard to the organization of the event proved to be effortless and his responses to any query were swift. From the moment we arrived we were made most welcome and the staff really made ourselves and our guests feel very much at home. Congratulation to the Chef and those who served the food, it was of the highest standard and we had a lot of very good reports from our guests. Once again the hotel management were very accommodating and I cannot recommend this establishment enough. This excellent hotel and restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wine list and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! We would like to come back here again and again.

Stayed here for 2 nights. The location of the hotel was great as it is within walking distance to the waterfront, supermarket as well as restaurants, retail shops, attractions, etc. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Service of staff are great and breakfast spread was excellent.

Located right at the heart of the beautiful Swakopmund city, Hansa hotel provides the traveller with the convenience of a vantage position. It's a stone through from the museum the snake park , the aquarium, and the beautiful beach. The hotel is old but we'll maintained. Some vintage finishes are still intact in the hotel rooms. The rooms are spacious with large balconies overlooking the sea. Food is great, staff are absolutely professional . Price, best value for money. I will visit again
