Great place to stay! Amazing coastal views, good breakfast, comfortable rooms, and a reasonable price. Right in the Médina near some good restaurants and attractions. Staff was very helpful to organize transport and activities.
We decided to stay in this riad mainly because of the nice ocean view - in real life it is even better than we had hoped!! We stayed in a room with ocean view and were definetely not disappointed! The whole riad is very clean and decorated with love. When we arrived, we were greeted by the extremely friendly staff and were served mint tea in the dining room before we were shown our room. We loved the atmosphere and felt very much at home!
Really nice and clean riad with a beautiful view .. . Staff were ready helpful and we felt welcomed by the people there.. they were like a nice family.. we felt like it was home , everything is close to the Riad.. the souq, the Medina , the restaurant and the beach,... would recommend it and will defo come back again to this wonderful Riad kafila.. 🙂☺️
We had a strange experience at this Riad, ending with a dispute about payment. The rates paid were the highest I have come across in Morocco, and this is my third visit to the country. However, the room was the smallest I have ever stayed in, with my friend and I having to take turns in getting up as there was not enough floor space to get dressed at the same time. I know it was February, but the towels and sheets all felt damp - and unlike other Riad's the traditional blow heater / air conditioner was non existent. Extra blankets were not provided and we all felt freezing cold most of the time. A good service was the breakfast which is among the best I have had in Morocco. Unfortunately the staff felt it was a good idea to throw all the windows wide open just before we sat down, and the sight of other guests wrapped in coats and leg blankets became the norm. The main advantage of this riad is the view and the location. Photos and other reviews are correct in praising the dining room and roof terrace for amazing views of the crashing surf. Despite this, I would not recommend this riad. Only because of the unfortunate departure. We were told that we could only pay in Euros, which was fine - but the card machine was incapable of taking this payment. The man in charge insisted that I made the conversion from Euros to MAD myself, which I was not comfortable with. He got quite angry and said that surely we made the conversion every day as we went around Morocco. I tried to explain that the UK does not use the Euro but this was not understood. I offered to pay in MAD cash, but again he said Euro only. A disappointing end to a cold damp stay.....…
The old charm & beautiful antiques in this Riad, not to mention the convenient location, make it a hidden gem. Roof top views of the surf as the Riad built into the ancient city walls. Go to sleep to the bounding surf. Gorgeous breakfast/sitting room overlooking the ocean. Rooms cozy. Staff VERY helpful and even did a “wine run” for us so we could have HH. Walk outside & you are instantly transported to the past through narrow alleyways that turn into delightful shops mid day! Would DEFINATELY recommend.
