On arrival (by small taxi perhaps) be prepared for man with cart to guide you within city walls to the tucked-away entrance. Once there, you enter a Riad with a totally ethnic look. No lift here. No TV either! Breakfast on roof, with a panorama of the old medina. Helpful staff can explain best places to visit, with map.

Finding this Riad was easy, as we were picked up by the owner at Bab Marrakech ;-) The Riad is nicely decorated and owner/staff are very friendly and supportive. We got many tips (and maps) from the owner, so we never got lost. As this Riad is really centrally located you can smell, hear and see the medina, but not...

We stayed several days in this Riad. The breakfast was different each day, which was refreshing. The room was large, and was well furnitured. A small remark on the width of the bed, which was not that big. The shower was good, as well as the service. We were informed on the various activities and restaurants in the area upon...

I had a fantastic stay in this beautifully decorated and cosy riad in central Essaouira. Having found Marrakesh horrible 25 years ago because of the constant harassment of "guides" wanting to show you things, I came to Essaouira with low expectations. But the city rocked me! Also as a solo travelling woman I went around everywhere in the bustling and...

If you want to be right in the medina of Essaouira in a smart boutique hotel, this is the place, you will get the feeling of the medina, in a fresh, clean and high morocco personality hotel, with the Europea standards. Room as great and the atmosphere is absolutely fantastic. I really enjoyed my time over there. People at the...

We cannot recommend Dar Nafoura enough! from the moment we arrived we felt welcomed, comfortable and at home, the Riad is easy to find from the bustling streets in the medina and is tucked away from main streets keeping it quiet and calm. Raja runs the hotel and is incredibly helpful, she gave us maps and a really helpful introduction...

For our first night in Morocco, we booked a room at the Riad Dar Nafoura. The whole experience of landing in Marrakesh, the bustling street life and the experiences along the road to the coast were exciting, until we arrived late in the evening in Essaouira. Finding the hotel, hiding away in the labyrinthine old city, is tricky, a smartphone...

The wellknown riad (bed & breakfast) Dar Nafoura in Essaouira's medina has a new hostess, Gemma. She is running this wonderful, silent, charming and aesthetical riad very nicely. My family recieved excellent service including room service and homemade breakfast with a different meny every morning. Every room in the riad is decorated in a unique way, and e.g. our room...

We had a lovely welcome by the French lady proprietor. She made a real effort to make us feel at home, even buying us cheese for breakfast (not often found in Morocco). All the rooms are decorated in ver vibrant colours. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace where you have a little glimpse of the sea. Homemade cakes were...

The riad is a short walk from the bustle of the centre of the medina. It is beautifully decorated and is filled with plenty of light. The roof terrace provides a great view of Essaouira, and is where breakfast is served. Unfortunately if you bring heavy luggage it's left to you to lug it up the stairs, as there is...
