Beautiful place. Get quaint. The food was amazing! Breakfast was very generous - I absolutely recommend requesting their Berber eggs (tomato and eggs - to die for). And they make a great meat (beef or lamb) tagines with prunes and almonds. The rooms were lovely (large bed, nice Moroccan style bathroom) although you do have to climb stairs- I had... More

Casa del Mar is a beautiful riad in Essaouira. It's a small and cosy hotel in the middle of the small town. When you enter the riad after a long day, you immediately feel the calm, warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are very comfy and spacious. The living room with the fire place is quiet and relaxing. The next... More

Casa del Mar is the perfect stay in Essaouira! We found this beautiful place on the internet and were very surprised. Small Hostel/Hotel with a great rooftop Terrace in the middle of the Medina and close to a lot of Stores and Restaurants. The stuff was very helpful in any case and friendly. We can just recommend this place for... More

The riad is in an excellent location. Straight in from Bab (Gate) Marrakech, walk all the way to the sea, about 5 minutes. The door is bright blue, easy to spot. It opens up into a gorgeous living room, with a nice fireplace. We were kindly greeted by the staff and taken up to our room, Room Mallorca. It was... More

Del mar was a great hideaway in essaouira and such a good price as well. The owner also deserves a special mention for being extremely accommodating and having excellent recommendations. Rooms felt almost like a beach house which is perfect for the setting. I would recommend.

I stayed at La Casa del Mar when the original guesthouse I'd booked with let me down. I remembered that someone had recommended it to me when I was in Marrakech so I just looked it up on the map and found it quite easily. I was able to get a room despite not having any reservation and chose to... More

It was such a nice place you can feel like you are staying at home. But it was really hard to find. Breakfast was poor there was just jam and bread but we had our breakfast in terrace they have such a nice terrace you can see ocean.

Was hard to find at first but when we arrived it was nice. Room was okay but there was a damp smell. It was very close to the sea and was very refreshing on the terrace. Good location and very peaceful. Didn't see the manager whilst we were there however the ladies that worked there were nice and made a... More

We cannot confirm the current high-level ratings of this guest house as there were several severe quality issues: 1. Our room was humid and we could see a long stream of mould on the edge of the ceiling. Thus, there was an awful smell in the whole room despite venitlation (room "Cabrera"). 2. After reclamation, the manager of the guest... More

Hello, I was sorry to read your review, and I write in response. About a week before your visit we had a burst pipe 2 floors up and unfortunately some water came down through the 2 levels. It was repaired but the wooden ceilings got wet in a couple of places. In the medina it can take a while for... More

La Casa del Mar was exactly as I'd hoped: quiet, bright, airy and good value. The ladies who worked there were lovely and very relaxed. The rooftop terrace is great - often no one is up there, so it's a good spot to take a book and chill out. I didn't particularly enjoy getting hassled down the tiny bazaar street... More
