We have just got back from our third visit to this lovely hotel & we plan to go back again next year. Can't praise the wonderful staff enough, they are all such lovely people & do everything possible to make us comfortable & welcome. We first came here a few years ago & chose the hotel for its proximity to...

This hotel is not fancy or special, but it has a great location. On one side are just across the road and you are on the ocean beach On the other hand the market and the fishing pier just a few minutes walk. There's nothing much to do here but as a transit station in this fine hotel. It has...

We stayed in this hotel for one night during our 11 day tour of Morocco. We were lucky enough to be allocated rooms in the main building overlooking the sea and as it was not really hot sleeping with the ocean breeze was great. Our room on the first floor was adequate and a nice size. All the plumbing worked...

An aging property, this hotel once was charming. The Orson Welles bar is still lovely, but the rooms need a bit of sprucing up. Unfortunately, the renovation work along the beach causes MAJOR water problems--which we endured with as much grace as possible. Imagine no water for any plumbing until later in the day, and the next day, another water...

This hotel desperately needs some love. The rooms were falling apart to say the least. Broken tiles everywhere, broken showerhead which soaked the entire bathroom and the doors to the toilet and bathroom failed to shut properly. I stayed here with a few friends and everyone's room was the same. The room unlock with an old key and the door...

To be honest, the Hotel Des Iles was booked on our behalf at very short notice, by a friend who is a resident of Essaouira, following a request for a budget option, & a ground floor apartment since I was travelling with my mother - that ruled out the Medina "Riads" because they are mostly older properties converted into guest...

This was my least favorite hotel of the three weeks in Morocco. It's over 60 years old and showing its age. Breakfast buffet was barely okay. The eggs on the line were cold but you could order eggs cooked as you wanted them. Had dinner there one night and it was okay, but that's about it. The room was clean...

Located just outside main walls, where you can still drive up to. Has its own parking at front, and looks out over sea and walking distance to beach (the road in front is currently being upgraded to a promenade as an effort by town to improve facilities I think...). Hotel has an feel of ancient grandeur, lovely old furniture and...

Yes it is certainly the best location for this hotel close to the beach and about 100 m from the medina ö if you are not looking for one of these charm hotels or riad in the medina itself. Comfortable and beautiful rooms, on 2 floors, large premises, large pool area (sunbathing without much wind!). Very good hotel for smaller...
