We were given an upgraded room on arrival, always nice (except they then tried to charge us for it on check out, although the reception lady was very apologetic when we managed to communicate that we were told it was a free upgrade). We were taken through the charming maze of buildings to our room, up and down a number...

We stayed at the Villa Maroc for three nights in November and had one of the best holidays that we have had in a long time. The decor is beautiful - the perfect Moroccan ambience. Our room was very comfortable and the outdoor and communal spaces were perfect. The roof deck has a wonderful view and is a great place...

The Hotel Villa Maroc is a charming hotel in Essouria, located on the brim of the Medina. From its marvelous terrasse you can overlook the great place, untypical for Morroco, and the Atlantic waters as well as the great bay. The hotel is domicilied in four houses from the 18th century with step staircases (no elevator), each with riad. The...

This riad was formerly four homes that have been joined together into a maze-like interior, making this a fun and interesting place to stay! The sitting and dining rooms are peaceful and comfortable with small fireplaces that have crackling fires at night. There was one incident with a less than suitable dinner that was immediately and graciously corrected by the...

After traveling from Paris, the culture shock of arriving in the medina of Essaouira was calmed by the hosts of Villa Maroc who were gracious and accomodating. I needed a fan and a new one was deliverd in 10 minutes after arrival. Breakfast was delicious, fresh and the rooms were bright and light.

The Villa is an oasis of peace and quiet and to us the best place to stay at. Friendly receptionist Mia and staff made our break in Essaouira at its best. So was the chat we had...

Highly recommend this riad in the heart of the Medina of Essaouria. The rooftop terrace is a perfect location to watch the city wake up and fall asleep. The rooms are full of character and the staff is willing to assist with any need. Breakfast outside (great coffee) was a highlight. Mia has great reataurant suggestions, but don't forget to...

“The top room at Jardins de Villa Marroc was a beautiful room, the only one on the first floor, featuring a view of the argan fields to all sides. In Villa Marroc we enjoyed a nice room below the roof top terrace - the 'sea view' was perhaps a bit of a stretch seeing as you'd have to lean out of the window to see it, but the room - and we expect all the rooms - was as beautiful as the rest of the hotel. ”
