We spent a few nights in the Yellow Room at Riad du Figuier, and it was wonderful. After arriving on a late bus from Marrakech, it was a pleasure to arrive at the Riad and be Figuier and be greeted with delicious mint tea, and shown to our very comfortable room (with a radiator! It was March and quite chilly...

The two people working there were really lovely, smiling and trying to teach us some Arabic. This was very very kind. We also met a woman who seems to be the owner, at least she collected the money. She was also very helpful and I have to thank her a lot. I think this is a nice place for back...

Well Located within the town walls,a short walk to the Port and market streets. Beautiful garden interior and Authentic Moroccan decoration. The lovely staff make the stay so personal and comfortable. Iham, Mohammed and Fatima, were so friendly. Fatima made delicious Moroccan breakfasts. Mohammed taught me how to make Moroccan mint tea and listen to traditional Moroccan music. Iham, kept...

Located just inside the medina, Riad du Figuier is a haven of peace and relaxation among the bustling bazaars of Essaouira's old city. The Riad has a very nice garden, well-maintained by the always friendly and smiling caretaker Mohammed. Rooms are spacious, furnished and decorated with gusto, although a bit humid, especially at night. The three terraces overlooking the Riad...

This Riad is has an authentic feel of living inside the walls, but is only a short walk to the port. The people Hayat and Mohammad are wonderful people and can't do enough for you! The rooms are more than adequate and have all you could want! I went with a friend and wanted to go back in April but...

With a quintessentially Moroccan interior, Riad Du Figuier is charmingly beautiful; a real sanctuary in the city. The striking courtyard is a peaceful place with tiny roaming tortoises and a banana tree from which you can eat the fruit! The yellow room was large and attractive. They have great taste in interior design! The hosts make you feel welcome, in...

We have just spent two nights in this charming guesthouse. It is a little on the shabby side, but has a real atmosphere of faded grandeur with original features such as painted doors and tiles. The rooms were very clean and quite large. The staff are lovely but do not speak any English so you will need to speak French...

- Rooms / hotel has just been refurbished - Rooms are spacious and beautiful - Small riad, only 5 rooms, so it feels very personal - Very nice and welcoming owners - Riad is next to a parking lot (you have to pay for it), easy to find! - It is in a remote part of the medina, after sunset...

We were the only guests at this sweet, quirky little Riad in Essaouira for three nights between Christmas and New Years, and found it a nice budget option. The courtyard is lovely with a burbling fountain, the rooms were very generously sized and very clean. We had the yellow and red rooms, which the riad advertises as good for families...
