I didn't only fall in love with Essaouria, it's wonderful beaches and people, I fell in love with Riad Dar El Paco, too. It's such a pearl and I'm happy I spent the last 6 days there! The place is decorated with good taste and a lot of love, I felt very welcome and comfortable from the first moment on.... More

We were here in May as well as last week's visit. Since May it has come under new management. The owner is now Giovanni who is assisted by Waafa. It remains good value for money and both Giovanni and Waafa are most agreeable. There is an element of peripheral noise during the night but I think it is impossible to... More

Beautifully decorated rooms - each one unique and authentic. Super efficient and friendly, helpful staff. Up a back alley so limited views but full of atmosphere. Provides easy access to shops, cafes, restaurants, the souk, museum, galleries, fishing harbour and beach. What more could you ask for in an economy B&B!!

Very friendly and kind hosts. The Riad was in the middle of the Medina - a great place to explore Essaouira from. Breakfasts were fresh and tasty - you must try the moroccan tea over coffee! Cleanliness and tidiness was immaculate: Our clothes were all folded and hung up for us! Others have commented on the call to prayer early... More

We found Dar El Paco to be everything we could have wanted in a Riad. Staff were really friendly and helpful offering useful tips and advice on where to go and what to see, room was spotless and wonderfully decorated and breakfast was great. The location is perfect, 30 second walk to the main streets but slightly set back so... More

Only a 10 minute walk from the bus terminal this Riad is in a great location to explore the whole inside of the walled city. We arrived by bus from Marrakech after a comfortable 3 hour trip (there is a 20 min break halfway). We travelled with Supratours which is a government run company that provides buses to locations in... More

We were very happy with our stay. Its fantastically located and very easy to find. On arrival we were welcomed warmly and given a thourough explanation on what to do and see. In particular the beach café that Paco recommended us was fantastic. The rooms are very tidy and comfortable. All I can point out is that the wifi doesnt... More

From the minute we arrived Paco and Khadija were the friendliest and welcoming hosts we could of hoped for. Even though Paco only speaks french we still managed small conversation, Khadija speaks excellent English and helped us book a couple of activities, a night out at restaurant and also our taxis. We stayed in the room called Sahara which was... More

Paco and his wife are wonderful hosts in their 5 room facility. However, they are not helped by noisy neighbours adjoining the rear of their building and the adjoining Mosque. Also Booking.com describes the rooms as having, refrigerator, Microwave and Kettle BUT they have not. MISREPRESENTATION. Otherwise great.
