Internally it is a beautiful and stately Riad, with a fountain and stone columns rising to 4 storeys, but it is the view from the 2 top terraces that makes everyone gasp (& reach for their phones/cameras); the Atlantic rolling in and the 360 degree sight of Essaouira medina and the surrounding landscape. What else can you want? Comfortable beds? ✅ Clean bathrooms with plenty of hot water? ✅ A generous buffet breakfast? ✅ Free WiFi? ✅ But what makes the stay 5 star are the friendly charming staff who couldn’t be more helpful. It’s hard to single out individuals but we especially thank Sana Gania & Yassine Bebylghache . We were touched that staff remembered us from 3 years ago; but then Palais des Remparts is that kind of place.
This hotel is very well located in the heart of the city, with access to all the major attractions, Medina, markets and restaurants. We had enjoyable two night stay, and enjoyed visiting the city. Staff was very accommodating.
Situated next to the sea and the city wall in the medina, the location could not be better. The staff is very friendly and smiling. The hotel itself is a bit run down, but still nice. The rooms where clean and the staff kept everything tidy.
This was a great choice of riad in Essaouira. We chose a standard double room. It was a lovely large room with a king size bed and authentic Moroccan tiled bathroom. The ambiance at the riad was chilled and relaxed with very friendly reception and waiting staff.A definate highlight is the view from the rooftop terrace. It is hard to drag your eyes away from the coastal scene with great views of nearby small islands, ramparts and the medina.
The people are nice, but the product is not. The breakfast was not good at all, although there was a good view. We stayed in the rooftop suite, which had a nice view, but was cramped, dated and not all that clean. We were scheduled for three nights but left after one because we were so disappointed.
Very central and near some very good restaurants. It is one the best places we have stayed in Morocco. The a room off the top floor terrace which had an amazing view. The sunsets from our room and the terrace were amazing.

Ednan and Family
Super authentic riad in the central part of the medina. Great accommodation and large size room with ensuite bathroom. Great views of the Atlantic ocean whilst enjoying breakfast. They have a lift which is great for transporting luggage.
Words cannot describe how lovely this Riyadh style hotel is! The design, the location, the friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the guestrooms. Our room was located on the top floor looking over the Atlantic with waves breaking just outside our window! The views were amazing particularly at sunrise and sunset when the call for prayers echoed from the mosque. The Hammam and massage was such a treat. So romantic like 1001 Arabian Nights!
It's a very lovely riad in Essaouria. Hotel's interior was nice, modern, but at the same time very Moroccan. Roof terrace has a great view, it's also a great place to have breakfast or sunbathe. We stayed there for a week and the location was perfect to take into consideration restaurants and the wall. The hotel had very friendly crew, they spoke French and English and we would certainly love to stay there again.
