We stayed over 7 nights in this Riad. It's a quirky place and very arty feel to it. Although we had a couple of problems the staff were very helpful and accommodating and resolve them straight away. The breakfast was lovely, simple and tasty and always served with a big smile. Our room was upgraded to a large airy room...

I was very lucky to find this place. I stayed here for one month. The staff were all very friendly and helpful to all my needs and requests. I got to use their kitchen and laundry machine as well. The view from the rooftop was amazing and it was one of my very special places to go. My room was...

We enjoyed our stay here in October. Highlights being the roof terrace where we relaxed each night to watch the awesome starry night sky! Another highlight would be the staff, in particular bashir, who were happy to help with any requests and always on hand. The mint tea on arrival and the plentiful continental breakfast also were fab. I loved...

The maitre d was a charming and friendly guy who did all he could to accommodate us, flexible regarding price upon booking (in person), fixing us a pre-hours breakfast when we had to leave early for our flight. The breakfast itself I thought was very good, especially that strange extra-sweet kind of peanut butter spread that is served. Pancakes were...

We stayed for 7 nights after booking the flight and riad through Easyjey. The first room we saw (and stayed in as we arrived at 1am) was number 9 and is rather unpleasant. Very small room with poorly fitted windows which let in a lot of noise (most rooms only have interior windows so are much quieter). Some of the...

I’ve now stayed in half-a-dozen or so riads in Essaouira in this price bracket (300-400 Dhs): I think this was probably the best. It certainly helps when you’re greeted with a smile and someone receptive to a joke, which our host very welcomingly did; he was also helpful with filling out the police cards—only once have I been asked to...

On arrival to Riad Al Khansaa, we were welcomed with complimentary tea whilst looking at fabulous art work in the lobby. We were pleasantly surprised as paid very little for our three night stay. Wifi was very good in lobby area and on first floor, but that was all. Breakfast in the mornings was served to table, a traditional Moroccan...

Hotel Riad Al Khansaa, is a lovely riad placed in the medina of Essaouira. The staff is helpful, charming and calm, and the atmosphere at Al Khansaa is quite and easy. Showering water is hot and internet is available in the foyer. Our host, Mustapha, was indeed friendly and nice to us.

As we travelled during low season we had the fortune, as walk-ins with no reservations, of being able to negotiate room and price. We were given the "suite"; which also had a fireplace. We made the mistake of actually using it and were surprised no one complained about the smoke bellowing into the courtyard (the chimney was likely obstructed). We...
