Stayed at the Prince Maurice as a family of four with a 10 month old and a 3 year old for two nights and have nothing but good things to say. From the welcome at the gates when we arrived in our rental car to the personal farewell when we left everything was faultless. The Hotel is located away from any hustle and bustle therefore be ready to immerse yourself in total luxury and make the most of every moment. We were upgraded on arrival to a family suite which was perfectly presented and included everything a family could need, even little bath robes for the kids. We chose the All-Inclusive package which I would recommend as it takes the worry away from overspending and the choice with AI is outstanding, the best I have ever experienced. We ate at two restaurants whilst there and the choice was varied and so well presented, the Sushi Platers at the Asian Restaurant are to die for. Don’t waste your time looking at the menu, just ask for the server to select your food, we did this and were not disappointed. Take a walk to the lagoon just before sunset and grab a glass of Champagne in the floating bar and watch the sun go down. The kids loved feeding the fish from the bar and it’s extra special when the sun goes down and they turn on the blue lights in the water which makes the fish glow up. My wife and I used our 30 minute massage which was included as part of the All Inclusive package and we both agreed that it was one of the best spa experiences ever. Wish we could have stayed longer to go back again. The main pool which was the only one we used was perfect with plenty of floating pillows to use and the kids loved sitting on these and being floated around the pool. We were easily able to get a Cabana with a couple of nice beds to chill out on at any time and the hotel staff bring fresh towels and ice bags with mineral water within minutes of you sitting down. The special touches included scented chilled towels delivered to you as you relaxed and having your sun glasses cleaned properly by the pool. I have nothing negative to say about our stay at the Constance Prince Maurice and will certainly return next year. Special mention to Genevieve in guest relations who suggested that our family come to the hotel and join us for lunch on our last day. They did and it was such a wonderful opportunity to share a small piece of this incredible experience with them as we would never be able to describe how magical it is with words and photos alone. Looking forward to our next visit.......but it will be for longer next time.

As regular visitors to Mauritius, our Travel Agent (Susie Freeman Travel) has been recommending a visit to Constance Prince Maurice and after COVID travel restrictions prevented us from visiting in 2020, we are glad we finally made it in 2021!
We stayed at the Constance Lemuria in the Seychelles in 2020, so had some idea of the 'Constance Experience' and have to say that this was every bit as wonderful as we could have hoped! From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Imitaz, our COVID testing and checkin was all efficiently managed and we were soon whisked to our suite and given all information we needed to quickly familiarise ourselves with the resort.
We loved our room and especially appreciated our invisible support team who appeared and cleaned and re-stocked our room as if by magic. Just perfect.
The food and beverage experiences were also exceptional and we ate and drank around the resort during our weeks stay. Breakfasts and Lunches were all taken in Archipel and we were always warmly greeted by Sweety. What better start to your day than her warm smile and welcome to breakfast! But we have to say that ALL of our waiters looked after us to the highest standard and we are sorry that we cannot name check those who looked after us and made our dining experiences so wonderful - encouraging us to try different dishes and always having appropriately friendly chatter. There's a real sense of 'team' with waiters of all levels working well and supporting each other. Such a great atmosphere.
And this atmosphere and 'team' spirit was reflected in all areas from the beach to the reception area where Akshada would always be checking in on how we were doing. The reception team had new recruits and French interns and they were all working seamlessly together. Right up to our departure when Diya gave us one of the friendliest and most efficient checkouts we have experienced.
We loved our time at this beautiful resort - we left occasionally to play golf at the Links and Legend courses, but apart from that, felt no need to leave! A truly magical time and a big thank you to everyone who made us feel so welcome.

We had hired a car so we could explore the island of Mauritius before spending 5 days at the Prince Maurice. We were very much looking forward to spending 5 days languishing in luxury before flying home - and we weren’t disappointed.
We were greeted by a number of members of staff whilst checking in who were all keen to ensure we knew what was where and who to contact during our stay. We had arrived early so we were encouraged to explore and enjoy the hotel’s facilities until our room was ready.
The hotel has extensive grounds however all amenities are within easy reach of guest rooms and despite the hotel being 75% full, it never felt too busy, never noisy or crowded. The Prince Maurice is situated on a beautiful white stretch of sand with some of the suites having direct beach access, some overlooking the lagoon and others having garden views. Our suite was incredibly spacious, impeccably clean and comfortable with large terrace and huge bathroom. We had booked an all inclusive room rate so most of the contents we used from the minibar (fruit juice, half bottle of champagne, snacks) were replenished each day. We also enjoyed unlimited water sports which included stand up paddle boarding, kayaks, waterskiing and pedaloes.
We dined in all 3 restaurants and the food and service was excellent each time. Breakfast is buffet style however all restaurants in the evening are table service and a dress code helps to keep a chic and stylish feel about the place, without it being stuffy or intimidating. There are regular theme nights including a beach BBQ and menus offer a large carte dining as well as chef recommendations meaning there’s lots of choice. There’s also an extensive wine list and a fabulous range of cocktails.
For us, the hotel staff played a massive part in the enjoyment of our stay, in particular the guys at the Laguna Bar and the housekeeping staff however everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there and many we spoke to had been working at the hotel for many years. As others have mentioned, they really do make an effort to remember your name which adds a wonderful personal touch to the service provided. And if there is a problem or a request, the staff will go all out to deliver and to exceed expectations.
We were glad we had seen the real Mauritius the previous week however we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Prince Maurice and were perfectly happy not stepping foot outside of the hotel for the 5 days we were there. And we would have gladly stayed longer however our flight home came around far too quickly and sadly it was time to leave.
If you’re looking for an upscale hotel with sophistication but without the snobbery, great service and fantastic dining options, not to mention that perfect beach setting, then the Prince Maurice ticks all these boxes. Oh, to be back there right now!

Stayed at Prince Maurice for a week in February with special needs child and everything and everyone were OUTSTANDING. Housekeeping were just brilliant given some of our idiosyncrasies, beach service top, and MEHESS by the pool is a legend.
Hadn’t been for 16 years as had been seduced by the also excellent Saint Geran across the lagoon, but recent changes there (prices and people), we decided to try Prince Maurice again and this was the best of the 3 top end hotels we stayed at on this trip to the Flacq area. Will be back sooner as first choice for sure if we are lucky enough to return to this part of the world in the future.
Only gripe, and it is the same in all the hotels and not specific to PM, they are set up now completely to respect the more sedate residents in the evening, music is quiet and finishes early, no drinks offers/ high prices etc discourages after dinner socialising, I think some nights there needs to be some party action, people are on holiday after all and these are unique places to enjoy. Early to bed every night is just naff. The properties are large enough to work something out and keep everyone happy.

Our 4th consecutive stay at Constance Prince Maurice, and no other word to describe it as paradise on earth. Prince Maurice offers a high personal and private atmosphere in luxurious surroundings. Even at high occupancy it never feels busy and crowded, and always high attention to guests. For us it feels like coming home every year, and the stays are purely relaxation for body and mind, and perfect condition to recharge your batteries. This time we travelled first time with our 8 months baby, and Prince Maurice offered an extra ordinary service, and quick response to our request incl. extra microwave in room, extra bottled water etc. - we were pleasently surprise with an baby swing on terrase, baby toys, baby towel, baby shampoo etc. Staff made us feel relaxed, and a lot of attention and help with the baby. Great food and beverages, and we really appreaciate to order breakfast to the room and enjoy it on the terrase, and dinner at the floating restaurant Barachois. Outstanding experience and if you are lucky to get a glimpse at the reef shark, Johnny. Other recommendations is the Spa, which offers a large range of treatments in an idyllic and relaxing atmosphere and surrounding. Relaxation at the beaitiful sandy beach and warm lagoon water, enjoying great beach serive and lunch/drinks. Staff are always very attensive to guest and details, but an extra praise to Souky (never seen a better and more personal beach service and fantastic approach and playing with our baby / outstanding service), Akshada (guest relation for taking so good care of us as always, and make us feel so much at home and to take great care of our baby), Manjoola (front house) always very helpful and solve all request quickly), Imtiaz (guest relation) warm and friendly, and our two restaurant favorites, Hurry (Asian restaurant), who always came to catch and follow up, even though we did not visit the Asian restaurant due to the small baby this year (very personal), and Yella from Barachois (strong and private approach and service as always). I could continue like this, and it just shows the strenght of Prince Maurice.... attention to guests and details in a private and personal atmosphere - this is exactly what we are seeking and why we come back every year. There is a huge amount to like about this hotel. The food is simply exquisite. All three restaurants serve beautifully presented and very tasty food. Service throughout the hotel is exceptional. The beach is long, sandy, and very clean. Our room was large, but slightly disappointing. There are two blinds on the windows, which foul each other, and frankly both needed to be ripped out and replaced. It shouldn’t take 10 minutes to close blinds at night, and then to open them in the morning. One fell off its fixings repeatedly. The bath was huge, but had a number of deep chips. We stayed just after Mauritius opened after the pandemic, and I was surprised that they hadn’t taken the opportunity to update the rooms during the lockdown. Minor niggles, but lost them a star. Maybe I am getting a little curmudgeonly in my old age..

I stayed at Prince Maurice for my mandatory 2 weeks quarantine and I just wish it was a mandatory 1 month quarantine. My arrival at MRU International was hectic due to all the procedures but as soon as I entered the resort's gates I felt the tranquility of the environment.
The check-in was prompt and as soon as I entered my suite all the work, travel related stress just disappeared. The first time I saw the ocean from my suite's terrace I felt I was in another place spiritually.
My butler Vikram was one of the most polite and cheerful person I have ever met, he'll always greet you with a smile and ask you if you're fine and at the same time he knows how to be discreet (a complete professional) and this is the thing I loved the most about Prince Maurice, everything/everyone is so discreet, if you want to left alone with your thoughts gazing at the horizon from your terrace or if you want to be pampered like a king/queen they will cater to both.
Special thanks to the kitchen and room service (Divya, I think I may not have remembered the name correctly) for always catering to my demands for roti :)
If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of your daily life spend a weekend or week at this place, you will come out peaceful and with a new mindset.
Please send me an email when you are open for normal visits so I can come back for weekend getaways and thank you for the wonderful departure gift. Hope to see you soon Prince Maurice

We have stayed several times at Le Prince Maurice and each stay seems a step above the previous one, the hotel somehow manages to surprise you each time in a different way. We had the most wonderful 3 days stay on the stilts this time with incredible views over the Barachois, particularly amazing at sunset with the amber sun against the golden sky reflecting on waters of the reserve, so perfect and peaceful! Service is impeccable at all levels, both in the suites and in the restaurants. Welcome on arrival is warm and efficient, the front desk staff ensuring that you are speedily checked in. Breakfast options are not only vast and varied but also of very high quality. My daughter being totally on a plant based diet, we were pleasantly surprised to see vegan options on the restaurant menu (not very common in Mauritian hotels) and the bread fruit dish at Le Barachois was particularly delicious. Attention to details is what makes Prince Maurice so special and each personnel goes out of their way to make sure that all your wishes are met. My daughter asked for coconut water which they had run out of and they quickly cut down a coconut from the coconut tree which brought a huge smile on her face. .Thanks to everyone at Constance Le Prince Maurice for making our stay so special

It is really safe. There are regular rounds from security, cameras on the beach. Even though people outside of the hotel would access the beach, they do not trespass the hotel grounds. Just walk by the beach. I personally didn't see any outsiders on the beach except for a few trying to make a living by selling pareos but I believe that also, they were authorised to do so.
Actually all throughout the hotel, they have access ramps to facilitate circulation of people using wheelchairs. The hotel have rooms at ground floor level which can be accessed from either front door or from back door which open on their beautifully well kept gardens...some with even sea view access.
There are more places to choose from in the Pointe de Flacq area.
