I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude for the pleasant experience I had during my recent stay at your tourist residence. The main purpose of my visit was to attend an event, and I was delighted to see that the venue met my expectations.
Special thanks to Asha for her quick welcome and informative introduction. Your efforts to ensure a smooth arrival were greatly appreciated.
I also enjoyed the breakfast very much. However, I would suggest placing the toaster in a more accessible location. Although I was able to get through this, it could be a downside for others.
Overall, I had a pleasant day and I will certainly consider a return if I have future events in the area or if I have plans, as the place is in a safe environment.
Thank you once again for your hospitality.

We stayed 9 nights here and room was located on pool side. Housekeeping worked nice and room was always cleaned well. Breakfast was included on price and nothing bad to say about it. Location of the hotel isn't optimal compared against beach hotels but hotel free shuttle service will fix this issue. Laundry service was available on reasonable price and wifi worked very well Hotel staff and owner were very nice and helpfull. I will absolutely recommend this hotel if you are looking price wise option to stay in Flic en Flac

My wife and I stayed at the L'oiseau for 6 weeks this year, we really enjoyed the place. The staff are great, the bed was very comfortable, the room was large enough for the two of us, there's breakfast included and a free shuttle service to the beach and shopping mall. They provide airport transfers for about 2000 rupees, which is a good price. The kitchen could have been a little better equipped and the refridgerators in some of the rooms need replacing, but this is a budget apartment hotel, not the Ritz. The rooms are currently being refurbished so these problems should hopefully soon be sorted. They currently charge 500 rupees for washing clothes, which is a bit on the expensive side unless you have a large load. It would be great if they could put a washing line on the roof for guests to use and a coin operated washing machine. We would definitely stay there again.

I don't recommend the hotel, the swimming pools both are dirty lots of insects in the water, the jacuzzi cold water n dirty too. One can hear lots of noises at night if you are lucky you won't get those rooms it looks like mauritians who get those noisy room as at night you can hear the noise of air con or pump water machine. If you take some dried grapes after breakfast to eat in the terrace you will be told not to take where as I have seen other guests took plate of food. They don't give tea or coffee in the bedrooms but just kettle n cups. The only good thing is the room is clean but they won't clean it everyday. They put very few food for breakfast one can count 15 pieces on the plate and when finished they will replenished it. I didn't feel comfortable during my stay as while I eat my breakfast I can feel them monitoring me. The pictures of the pools have deceived me and my family. More customer service are needed in this place too. The only person who helped me was sanjeev for lifting my luggage when I came to the rooms. I did ask if they serve food at night they said no but I saw guests eating at night and every night I have to take my parents to eat in restaurants which is far from the beach. They do give shuttle car but on some hours and I had to take taxi sometimes.

Very good hotel with good breakfast. The hotel has 2 outdoor swimming pools. Super nice. The kitchen allows you to eat in your room or on your terrace. All you need is a dish towel, a sponge and some dishwashing product because when you fly, you don't think about taking these products. Otherwise pleasant stay

This property exceeded our expectations because of the wonderful services and staff. The room #2 was directly beside a small pool that offered shaded swims after a warm day. The room itself had a fridge , microwave and a bolted room safe. It was a good size room with a workspace for us as we tidied up bus for the next few months. TV with a small variety to watch and an air. conditioner. The property offered a significant and varied breakfast including a fresh juicer for orange juice. The varied menu included items such as sweet rolls, fresh breads and occasionally crepes. The crepes my husband stated you couldn’t eat just one of with hazelnut and bananas . He enjoyed his samosa and hot sauce when they were offered. As well as breaded vegetables and crispy rolls to sit beside your choice of eggs. Those were my favourite a plain omelette unfolded to add cheese and ham or chicken slices with hot sauce, fries when they were available. With a yoghurt and fruit. Plenty of tea and coffee ti wash it down with and of course cereals for the kids. Services such as a juice upon arrival to fill out you paperwork, set the tone as our hostess discussed the tours available. We used shuttles to and from Flic en Flac beach or Cascavelle Mall were perfect for our adventure . We shopped both at Jumbo Express down on the corner at the beach area, as well as the Cascavelle Mall. We were further encouraged to jump on buses to go to Port Louis and La Morne look out or further beyond to Cao Baie. While we did not feel the need to rent a car and drive about there were many people who had taken advantage of the inexpensive rentals. This atmosphere was just what we were looking for. Chill friendly and full relaxed, We loved Flic en Flac beach that seemed to go on forever and although we came to this area to dive which was very disappointing for reef and fish. We loved everything else it offered.

The good The hotel is clean and room very spacious with self catering facilities. The staff are friendly and the owner even better. He was very accommodated with us when we had 3 rooms booked for me, my wife and 2 teenage daughters but were separated around the hotel. As we wanted to be together, he rearranged the rooms so that we could be together the following days. Another day, he accepted for his kitchen staff to cook our pasta because the little convector hot plate didn’t work with a metal saucepan😂 He also arrange at a reasonable cost for us stay in 1 room on the last day as we had an evening flight but had to leave at 10am. The free shuttle to the beach or local shopping centre was good and very welcome as there is no amenities around the hotel. The included breakfast is basic but good enough (especially on crêpe days😂) The laundry service was also welcome, especially for long stays. The not so good We had a wooden hut/canopy being built/renovated just outside our rooms from 10am everyday But i understand that a hotel open all year round has to do some improvement at some point. The main pool was being retiled and my teenage daughters didn’t want to go there because for the workmen and tools around. The bathroom and kitchen tap don’t supply hot water, which makes it difficult to shave or do the washing up. We had a hole with one of our bathroom tile with constant 1000s of tiny midges (ants style) going back & forward to the window. Again, i understand that Mauritius is tropical and this can happen anywhere but try to explain that to 2 town teenage girls lol. So minor negative points that did affect our stay at this very quiet hotel. In fact we had a fantastic stay there. So 4 out 5 starts as some mild improvement can be made.

The hotel is quiet in residential area, at a distance from the sea where restaurants and shops are located. It is better to have a car to crisscross the surroundings (from Port-Louis to Tamarin or up to Morne Brabant). The beach of Flic en Flac is very beautiful and many good restaurants located along the road facing the beaches. At the hotel, welcoming and helpful staff, as seems to be often the case in Mauritius. Our room was not the best, with a bed encased between two walls, without bedside table, air conditioning quite noisy and above all, poolside, a pump whistled from sunrise (5:30 😬) until almost 10pm. The bed linen house of the mattress, without elastic and not large enough, was dislodged every night and was simply replaced in the morning by the housekeepers who are moreover very kind (they are not the ones who buy the sheets 🧐), curtains difficult to handle and the noise of the fridge all night... Breakfast is not without qualities: fresh fruit (but arranged at room temperature 😒), pressed oranges on demand, pancakes every other day, rather good, scrambled eggs or omelette on demand, very good. Yoghurts (not tasted), cereals, etc. On the other hand, coffee, undrinkable, pastries without taste (unheard of), toast 🥪 no taste either, margarine as butter. In short, not a great choice but honest overall.

Friendly small tourist residence with lovely staff, great breakfast, and comfortable rooms. Looks bigger in the photos but was a perfect place to relax. Situated about a 30-minute walk to the beach but with some rooms having a sea view and a free shuttle service helped. The hotel is surrounded by private houses and has a suburban feel to the neighborhood. There is parking for a few cars so some guests use it as a base from which to day trip. It is possible to walk just 5 minutes to the main road into town where you can catch a bus down into Flic for around 20 rupees or the other way to Port Louis and beyond for not much more than 50 rupees.

We stayed here for a night only. It's quite a beautiful residence with nice Asian decor (we always find the scene and atmosphere of Mauritius very similar to Phuket of Thailand in Asia).
The room is spacious with a balcony, cleanliness ok and staff nice. We took 20 mins to walk along the main road down to the beach area where more restaurants and eateries. Quite nothing in the neighborhood of this residence.
Wifi inside room is poor especially during daytime.
The price is great. As taxi can be arranged via the residence, the rather remote location is not too much a problem. Neighborhood very quiet but not tidy. One or two nights is ok.

Bonjour,
