It was a wonderful experience at the Sofitel for us. A special thanks to Mr Nuvin, Mr Hanley, Mr Kunal, Mr Kumar, Mrs Mariola. The spa was amazing, Miss Verlaine was very attentive and friendly. Overall we had a great stay. We'll surely come back. Highly recommended!
Had a great stay at the hotel! The staff was very welcoming! Had a great time, many thanks to Mr Kumar (flower man) who showed us around and made the stay even more memorable. He took great pictures for us The reception staff was very helpful (Ms Tania and Mr Hansley). The food was very good as well. Will definitely come back.
Sofitel review Stayed in October 2019 Stayed in a Ocean View suite Stayed 2 adults and 2 kids under 4 Stayed 1 adult in an ocean view double room I have given Sofitel 3 stars this time because we felt General Maintenance was not there in every aspect of the Hotel. Pros The staff are friendly, helpful, hospitable, and accommodating. The beach views are beautiful The kids club was amazing, great activities even for my 3 year old, great playground with play equipment and a play room with play toys. Adequate boat club with activities They have added a new restaurant since we were last there in 2013 Added pool and beach lounges which are like double beds , very cool and spacious when having small kids with you. Had introduced meet the managers cocktails which was great to give feedback and meet the managers on a personal level A glass of Champagne and fruit and mini canapés were a nice and sweet gesture every day Cons ( please note these cons are based on our previous stay at the same hotel in 2013) General maintenance is not there. Or not happening . Televisions in room was not working, we were told it’s a cable fault when we checked in but during the meet the managers cocktails when we mentioned this the next day our television was fixed but my Mums television wasn’t . She was in another room. The rooms have a strange musty smell The beach at the Hilton was cleaned and had less coral than the one at Sofitel but they are right next door to each other. The spa was very strange this time around. We were not allowed to go into the pool or sauna or steam room before our treatment because we hadn’t booked to go in there . Yet when we came in 2013 this was all included as part of the treatment . In 2013 We were told to arrive 20/30 mins earlier to enjoy pool, sauna etc and then have the treatment. The treatment ( aromatherapy massage ) this time in 2019 felt very rushed. After the treatment we were given juice by the pool and again made to feel like we had to leave. It was very disappointing as last time we had the same treatment but treated very differently very welcomed, after our last treatment in 2013 we had herbal tea and the most amazing biscuits I have ever eaten. But not this time The new restaurant is so pretty and romantic but needs more lighting, we could hardly see the menus or our food. The rooms the Ocean View Suite was nice but needs a modern upgrade , charging ports , etc would be a great addition I think we were double charged for my mums transfer airport-hotel, but had no way to prove it as my mum had paid the guy who picked her up in cash . It was then on our bill at the end of the stay as well. I did try to refute this charge but I couldn’t keep arguing as we did the check out before we left for the airport. A mistake we have learnt from. I don’t think we will stay at the Sofitel on our return to Mauritius which is sad because we so enjoyed this hotel on our previous stay in 2013. Although all the staff were amazing these are the staff members who stood out the most for us , that went above and beyond their jobs to make us feel welcome, loved my kids as their own, helped in the best way they could with whatever we requested for. Kirtee from the Reception Alan from room service Bridgette and Deepa from the kids club ( my kids till today 5months later still ask to go and play with them) Pravesh Jugmohun from Front office manager Neetasha Luchmun Boyjoonauth from the reservation office.…
Great stay at the hotel, the rooms (family room) are very spacious, clean and well equiped with the required accessories. The food is very delicious with a lot of varieties offered. The staff are courteous and Hansley was very nice to offer us a late check out. The hotel property is very big with beautiful gardens, especially the Japanese garden. We positively recommend the Sofitel Imperial Flic en Flac.
It's an amazing hotel and it is very clean and the staff is very helpful and very friendly. The hotel itself is very big and has a lot of activities and lots of place to rest and beautiful spot for pictures as well as a spa. Will definitely come back loter
