Les 2 canons is an exquisite place where serenity meets nature in a very subtle way. My husband and I stayed there for a week after having explored the island, so we spent our remaining time mainly there and around Flic en Flac. We are very impressed with Emily and the staff. Kudos to the management level and the customer service! They would organise lunch and dinner at the hotel whenever we wanted. It was all traditional and super delicious! We saw some negative comments about the bathroom doors, they changed them all to regular ones while we were there, so issue fixed. We would definitely recommend to everyone who plans on visiting Mauritius and would be happy to go back one day!
We loved our stay here as the small number of rooms and intimate pool area felt really private. The lovely and charming Bianca was helpfulness personified. Breakfast was decent and having breakfast and a cup of coffee looking right out across the ocean was a fairytale way to start the day. You can get right onto the beach from the hotel without having to cross a road. Our room was clean and nice and well kept. Things to note, it’s slightly (10 min walk if you go slowly) out of the main bit of town. The bathroom in our room was only separated from the room by a saloon door, so you’d best be comfortable with each other. There’s no bar in the hotel, but they let you bring booze in, so frankly that’s a plus. We couldn’t get a sea view room, but we peeked into one and it looked amazing. If you’re looking for all the services, a restaurant, bars and all that, you might prefer one of the resorts. But if you like a boutique hotel, you’ll probably love it here.…
We spent 7 nights during July 2019. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is excellent. The setting is perfect for exploring the West and South but also the whole of Mauritius. The room was large with a sliding door, fan, air conditioner, coffee machine and a safe. The rooms are serviced daily. Breakfast is a good mixture of cereals, fresh fruit and fresh juices, eggs and homemade croissants. They do not do lunch and dinner but Flic en Flac is within easy walking distance where there is a good selection of restaurants and a supermarket. The advice we got from Paule, Bianca and Sabrina about taxis, a boat trip to see the dolphins and a trip to Port Louis was very helpful. Les 2 Canons is much more peaceful and there is a lot less noise than some of the surrounding resorts. It is very safe. This is great value for money. Merci beaucoup Les deux canons.…
We stayed in this Hotel 7 Nights from 20.09.2018 onwards. It was our first visit in Mauritius and the Hotel is in walking distance to Flic en Flac Beach. The Rooms are nice, clean with Aircon which you do not need much in September. Bathroom is spacious.Breakfast is good and tasty with fresh Fruits, Cheese, Sausages and you can order English Breakfast and Omlette as well..The View from your Breakfast Table to the Ocean and Reef is Breathtaking. Sometimes the Sunset is directly in the Ocean and if you can view it from the Infinity Pool...just amazing. A special Thanks also to Bianca, Stefan, Sabrina and Dario. They are so helpful and friendly. You come as a guest and leave as a friend. They helped us to organize a Boat Trip for Dolphin watching, by Taxi doing a Southwest Coast Tour, and by Bus to Port Louis. Restaurants are in walking distance. A big variety for every Taste. Prices are a bit like in Europe…
My only reservation in writing this, is that I will probably never be able to get a reservation here again. You can’t get closer to the beach on Flic en Flac even at the top dollar resorts. They are a relatively new establishment so still getting liquor license (but the supermarket walking distance away sells beer).
We had a 10 day stay at the hotel in May and found it to be one of the nicest hotels you could stay in Mauritius. It is only a small 6 room hotel and is more like a bed and breakfast home stay. We had 2 rooms facing the ocean with one of them fitted with a cot for our 10 month old baby [who loved the hotel and staff]. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean with good air conditioning. The breakfast has a good small selection of food and fruits with eggs cooked to order, [it is like a cross between continental and english style]. The hotel does not do lunch or dinner but there a plenty of restaurants within a 15 minute walk.[try the good Sunset Garden restaurant at the street corner about 5 minutes walk]. You can also go to the Anelia Resort and Spa Hotel next to the hotel if you want a full buffet dinner. The Cascavelle shopping centre is about 5 minutes drive away and has a good supermarket,[ and a great coffee shop if you want a good coffee]. The hotel also has a good pool area and nice gardens and great sunsets over the Indian Ocean. The hotel is actually nicer than the photos on the website The only concern with the hotel is that it did not accept credit card for payments which means you have to get cash from the bank which is very inconvenient for guests. They say that the credit card service is being organised but was not not operating during our stay. Also the google map position for the hotel on their website is not correct as the hotel is in Klondike Road [ next to Anelia hotel].**The best part of the hotel was the friendly, welcoming staff that made our stay very enjoyable [ Baby George send his best wishes and thankyou to all the staff]. Thankyou to everyone at Les 2 Canons for a great holiday.** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED…
Nice quite hotel with 6 rooms 4 facing sea 2 garden view. A couple of changers would make it excellent. A couple of chairs in reception so we can both sit down checking in. More sun beds by pool only 8 so missed out relaxing by pool watching sun set. Breakfast better food protection from fly's in cheese and meet fly's get in through the side. Told cash only last day a problem as had to go onto town for money, get a credit card machine like all other hotels I have stayed in. Umbrellas for guests not sheer on small one.
Les 2 Canons is just Magic. The rooms facing the ocean has fantastic views. The gardens, breakfast area and pool gives you the feeling that you are in a private home. The staff is just the most helpful and make you feel right at home. Great breakfast and the most stunning sunsets you can imagine! If you get the chance dont think twice, book it! Thank you Les 2 Canons and hope to see you soon again! Jennie & Peter Sweden
We stayed there for 4 nights, was such an amazing and beautiful hotel, i love it. It has swimming pool with direct view on the Indian Ocean. It is very romantic and relaxing place.i will recommend it for any couples.
We spent 7 nights at "les deux canons". Simply said - the location and the whole guesthouse is just amazing. Kris and the staff as well as the owner Paule are very friendly and nice. The room was clean and modern. They employed a cook for the first time who served delicious local food. All in all a very relaxing and quiet place with direct beach access. Most of the rooms provide a direct view to the sea. We're looking forward to coming back soon.
