I've been in this Caban end of June 20. As native Mauritian & with my Swedish GF we've fallen in love with this place and surrounding. There, safety is taken as the top priority, extinguisher, Alarm Button etc.. Breakfast is awesome. The Caban is amazing, quiet and peaceful. The Host, Yannick and her hubby is so cool and so nice. Parking space available. Some good restaurants available in the vicinity. We will surely pay a visit again. 10/10. No need to think twice, book and go. Jasson & Malin.
Thank you Mr. Ben for the wonderful stay. I love the place and it’s very calm. You will only hear the birds singing and blowing of the winds. Thanks also for the guidance of finding the good tour activities for 6days of my stay. See you when I see you, Tree Lodge. Until next time.
Our first 2 nights in Mauritius. We had rented a car and had difficulties finding the place. Helpful people helped us contact the hosts, and Yannick came within 5min to show us the way to the Tree Lodge. Beautiful tropical garden, very tranquil, clean bedroom. The whole place feels loved and looked after. Breakfast lovingly prepared by Marcelline (?) and served on the terrace was delicious! Homemade jams, fresh fruit and eggs cooked to order. And really good coffee! Probably the best we had in Mauritius. The owners were great with recommending places to eat and everything they had recommended was spot on! The only thing I would add to our room would have been a mosquito net above the bed.
What a lovely, peaceful, friendly B&B. We spent three nights in the Explorer room here. Yannick and Ben are lovely hosts, very welcoming, and also helpful with advice on things to do, where to eat, how to get around, etc. Ben even kindly dropped us off at the beach one day. The tree that holds the tree house is a gorgeous feature in the yard, and the lovely green yard gives a real sense of escape. There's also a pool to cool off in, and chairs and hammocks to relax in. Beautiful breakfasts are served alfresco each morning. From here, we visited Belle Mare beach, and went a few times to Trou d'eau Douce - both to visit Ile aux Cerfs, and for two fabulous restaurant dinners. Tree Lodge referred us to Mr Chetty, a local taxi driver who ferried us around, helped arrange our island trip, and kept us up to speed with the local political scene. All in all, a great place to spend a few days. Be prepared that you'll need t travel to get to restaurants etc. We did walk to the local snack house the first night, which was a great local experience, but walking on the roads is a challenge as there's nowhere off road to walk. Having a car, or using hte taxi service or local bus service is the way to go!…
We stayed in the tree house for two nights while there was a lot of rain and wind. So it was a little hard to sleep in a tree hut, but the place is beautiful! We had a great breakfast and the whole garden and House is very nice and detail-oriented. Yannick and Ben are great hosts and also helped us with planning our activities on the Island. And since we always wanted to try diving, Ben was the perfect guy to talk to! We had a great first Dive in His Diving school. We would recommend their place to anyone looking for that Special place to stay. If the tree hut is Not for you, the Other rooms on on ground Level looked very nice as Well!
